Isla Canela was lovely and quiet, beautiful beach, easy to get around with a car but other options available and everywhere was within walking distance as very flat. Punta de Moral had a lovely marina with boat trips. Lots of golf courses in the area and reasonably priced.

Isla canela is great, the Barcelo not so great.
Isla canela is great, the Barcelo not so great. If you get a bargain price then go for it but accept the room for what it is, small and not premium. Some great local restaurants and an amazing beach made the break fun.

A brilliant resort for child-safe sandy beaches.
A brilliant resort for child-safe sandy beaches. The beach is very long, wide and sandy. The sea is really shallow and leaves lovely paddling pool-type lagoons as it goes out. Great at both high and low tide. There are lifeguards on the beach and water sports areas.
Lots of bars, restaurants and shops nearby for food and drinks.

A quiet secluded area with a lovely natural coast Great for peak summer period and beach enthusiast. island and adjacent town Ayamonte offers little entertainment and shopping facilities. Minutes from Portuguese frontier ideal to venture from Faro to Portimao in one hour 15 mins drive for more touristically holiday makers.

Isla Canela has the most beautiful stretch of beach to walk along and eat a fish lunch or relax with a drink and watch the kite surfers before sunset.
Ayamonte is a nice Spanish town and you can get the ferry over to Villa Real St Antonio in Portugal which is a wonderful little town with lots of al fresco fish resturants.

Delightful resort lovely beach and clean everywhere we were all inclusive so did not use the beach bars or local restaurants, Ayamonte was great and we recommend a trip over the river to Vila Real St Antonio on the ferry.
Everything about Hotel Isla Canela was wonderful. We got the friendliest welcome, our room had been newly renovated, buffet breakfast was great and dinner at the restaurant was fabulous! The attention to detail was amazing. The hotel staff knew our names and chatted to us like friends rather than customers. We will definitely go back there again.
The apartment location is great, the building is well maintained and walking distance to most of Isla Canela's spots. The fact that it gives us access to a parking space is also super handy. The A/C, fridge, water (cold/hot) work really well too.
The kitchen is on the smaller side but that is acceptable as it is an holiday apartment.
Pleasant hotel.Close to the beach. They managed the COVID situation well when dining by giving you a time to go for breakfast so spacing people out. So did not get overcrowded at breakfast.
Isla Canela is a small place with a harbor and a few restaurantes. Ok for a few days.
Perfect setting at beach. Friendly staff. Specially requested and got a quiet room.
We came to play golf in area ánd highly enjoyed that.
Hotel is great (but not our kind of accommodation)
We stayed on breakfast base only.
Nice restaurants in harbor
This hotel is amazing. We liked everything about it. We got great room, very nice place to get some rest and healthy sleep. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. We lived our breakfast. There is a large parking lot for free.
This won’t a hotel. There are no services at all available. No loungers at the pool, you have to buy your own toilet roll etc. receptionist was very helpful.
