FAQs about hotels in Nerja
On average, 3-star hotels in Nerja cost $92 per night, and 4-star hotels in Nerja are $130 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Nerja can be found for $73 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs and backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains make Nerja a picture perfect setting. If you're not in a boat, the second best place to admire Nerja is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town center streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighboring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 3 miles. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multilevel aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodations includes luxury beach hotels, guesthouses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.

Nerja is a jewel on the south coast.
Nerja is a jewel on the south coast. It's about an hour's drive from the airport but worth taking a bit more time. It's a beautiful town with many choices for recreation and dining. We enjoyed our time there very much and could have easily spent more than two day!

Nerja is a nice town well worth a wander.
Nerja is a nice town well worth a wander. The location was excellent for travelling around the mountains and seeing the villages in the Pujarro. Frigilliana and competa are the famous ones, but try some of the less 'tourist' villages like Orgiva or lanjerron.

Hotel was ideally situated for local bars, restaurants and visits to El Balcony and very good walks in the beach area.
We were not prewarned by Booking.com of the construction work going on at the hotel (which was major and noisy). Otherwise excellent hotel with very good reception staff, ideally located.

Nerja is a beautiful, quaint little town surrounded by mountains & the Mediterranean Sea. It has lovely cafes & whitewashed buildings & is very easy to get around. For seniors wth mobility issues though it would be difficult because it is very hilly, with hardly any flat areas. It has wonderful beaches & the spectacular Nerja Caves are nearby.

Nerja is a lovely town with a wide variety of restaurants and bars - lovely to wander around although gets very very busy in summer. No high rises or crazy night life so not for the stag or hen do's which then keeps its spanish charm. beaches have all been tidied up and the beach walkways are expansive . stunning views . We love it and have been visiting for many years
Great wee hotel in Nerja! My friend and I came for one night in February. The location is ideal for getting to both centre and beach- both within 10 mins walking distance! The staff were really friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was lovely. The hotel room bathroom was so nice and it had an amazing shower! Pool area very small but perfect for us as we came in February so no one was really using it. The outside area has a lovely wee bar and seating area. Overall great value for money and had a fab time :)
the Hotel was just perfect. Located close to the centre of Nerja but a couple of minutes from the Bus Stops. There was a lovely roof top space where we had our breakfast and one evening brought our dinner to the roof and had a bottle of wine viewing the night sky. The host was extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was very comfortable and cleaned every day. There was a kettle in the roof. It is just as very short walk to a supermarket that had everything you could need.
I needed a room for one night before a 6.15 bus to Malaga. This hotel was close and cheap so I chose it. It was fine, the shower was warm and the bed was comfortable. The guy on reception was friendly enough. It isn't a special place but the location is great for catching a bus and there are some great tapas places within a five minute walk. For me, this area of Nerja is more interesting and attractive than the more touristy areas by the coast.
Absolutely fantastic spot to stay in Nerja. You’re centrally located and you can literally be in the sea within a 9 minute walk. Cristian keeps the hostel absolutely spotless - I’ve been to over 300 hostels and this is by far the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed at. You will not find anything out of place. And the terrace with kitchen is excellent. Cannot recommend this location more
Location is good, hotel has 2 pools, one Indoor pool one outdoors, a gym, a washing machine in apartment which was very handy to wash all clothes. Apartment was clean and tidy. Mercadona supermarket across the road. Can walk Into Nerja centre and down to beach. Frigiliana is about 15 min drive and worth visiting. Nerja is a lovely place to visit.
Very well located hotel in the centre of town. Facilities including rooftop swimming pool are excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and continental breakfast offered plenty of choice. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Nerja.
- Very good value in comparison to similar properties in Nerja. We had a rental car so navigation was easy
- Very clean, comfortable and spacious apartment
- Pool area was great
- Good cooking facilities and some complimentary treats available when we arrived
A great hotel in a perfect location run by friendly and competent owners Kev and Alix. The restaurant ,which we have used many times, is in our opinion the best in Nerja plus breakfast on the terrace served by the excellent staff is a must do experience.
This is a lovely clean hotel in the heart of Nerja, we got an amazing price, and paid an extra $12 to park our car in the basement of the hotel. The bed was amazing, nice cafe in the lobby. Right in the heart of Nerjas restaurant scene.
The location is excellent as are the sea views, the hotel has a decent swimming pool and is exceptionaly clean, the gardens are kept in excellent condition.
It is the best hotel in Nerja in our opinion having stayed in most of the others.
An absolutely wonderful little eco hostel with very comfortable beds and pillows. We extended our stay by 3 nights as we really enjoyed Nerja and the surrounding countryside! If you can, request room 201, the views are amazing 😊
This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of the old town of Nerja so the location is perfect! the rooms are clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable beds and pillows. Great staff who are very helpful and attentive.
The location of the hotel is superb right on the beach. It’s a fair walk into Nerja from the hotel.
The staff were amazing and treated us well.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Thank you to all the staff 🙏
The location was excellent. In the center of Nerja. The sound of the waves rolling up on the beach first thing in the morning was incredibly peaceful. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were excellent
Everything was perfect. Beautiful hotel, impeccably clean with excellent location. Used the paid municipal covered parking which was worth it in our opinion. Breakfast was excellent!!
Very clean, hotel staff was friendly and let us borrow a beach umbrella, location was great -- only a few minutes from the beach and from some great restaurants in town
