Ubeda is a beautiful little city with loads of great things to see, the walls, churches, town hall etc. and local shops/galleries. There is also a huge range of restaurants and eateries (a great ice-cream shop) the views of the surrounding area are stunning. I would recommend staying within the old town walls, a little bit more expensive but worth it for being near to everything by foot.

Doesn't have the tourism magnetism like Córdoba or Granada, but especially if you have to cross nearby, it is worth to spend a day in Ubeda, Baeza and Jaen area.
Represents a different architecture, different landscapes, a more pristine way of living, with less tourism friction

Ubeda is a beautiful city and so is its sister, Baeza.
Ubeda is a beautiful city and so is its sister, Baeza. Both must be seen. You can ask for a tour guide (different spots in the center town) or do a tour on your own but you may miss out on some important information about the historic structures, the "patrimoine" the heritage buildings. One quick point: although our guide was very savvy and knowledgeable, I found the two and a half hours of the tour a bit heavy in Ubeda: too much info and not enough time to satisfy my curiosity when visiting. On the other hand, the Baeza tour guide was also savvy and knowledgeable but he gave us time to appreciate the historic buildings. To eat in the South of Spain is like saying "where is the fridge in this house" - there are eatery places, from cafés, bars, restaurants for every liking and budget. One does not need a car to get around Ubeda. There are always things to do anywhere you look.

The whole of Ubeda is listed as World Heritage for a reason.
The whole of Ubeda is listed as World Heritage for a reason. They are also working actively to bring more sites to the fore. You can get the best selection of teas, needed in the cold days; best at Bar Las Flores, tiny with good prices. Can't list all the sites, there are too many. We did the free walking tour, in Spanish only, starting at the office in Calle Real 13 - excellent guide with very clear diction.

An incredibly interesting place to visit.
An incredibly interesting place to visit. There are historic buildings on every corner of the old town. It is a joy just to wander about looking.
As it is not easy for me to walk far it was a delight to take the tourist train, ensuring that we missed nothing. I was pleased to see many of the beautiful old buildings preserved tastefully as hotels. There were plenty of restaurants and bars around and free tapas too, as it is in Jaén

Has some historic buildings bit not enough for more than an overnight stay usual mix of old and new centres. Don't try to drive round historic centre in modern SUV as rounds are very narrow and parking spaces too small
Great location close to old part of Ubeda with nice bars & restaurants( try Le Bistro to left of hotel in small placa). Hotel is a family home with wonderful rooms and decor going back generations. Your host, Pepe, is great and serves you a very good breakfast. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Nice cool terrace garden with great birdlife. Rooms are cool in high temps but aircon if needed. Great three days-good base for touring the area. Do not miss Cazorla national park!! Thanks Pepe!
Fantastic location. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok but we’re jaded after visiting Asia where their breakfasts are ‘out of this world’. Ubeda is a small city, very walkable. One or two nights was enough to see all the sights. If you want to learn about their monuments and significant spots in any language but Spanish, though, you’ll need to get a guide (which is easy to do).
Couldnt be in a more perfect spot - just round the corner from the Parador, 50 yards to the main square in the old town. Comfortable, modern & clean. Hosts only a short message away and very amenable. The old town is amazing - such a wealth of history. We also arrived on a fiesta night, so fireworks, musicians and folk in full battle reenactment costume made Saturday a special atmosphere
Exceptionally clean and spacious both bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Bed was huge. Hotel was right in the historic centre and the central atrium was beautiful. Only one small snag is that we had to park the car a 10 minute walk away. But you can't be in an old historic centre and expect easy parking, so that was ok.
Beautiful hotel, spacious room with sitting area, friendly staff, walkable to many restaurants.
I accidentally left my refrigerated medication in our room when we left. The front desk called me within 10 minutes of our departure to let me know. I am so grateful for this.
The hotel's location is really central to the historic old town. Andrea was super helpful contacting me regarding arrival and parking etc. The room was super clean and mine had a juliet balcony overlooking the street, which was charming. Definitely recommend!
Beautiful place, great location, very good and kind service, the staff was very helpful.
It is a small city and from the parador you can get almost every where just walking.
The room was big, confortable and clean.
And very important have air conditioning.
Historic bed and breakfast located in quiet older section of Ubeda. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast has many choices; some items are not on the menu like fruit and cheeses that you can ask for. Walk up Calle Real for other dining options.
Location is perfect for walking to all the important sights. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was well equipped if you want to prepare your own food. Ubeda was a delight to visit and if we ever return we would happily stay here again.
Staff was very nice and super attentive. They helped us even finding a parking spot. We were constantly asked whether we needed anything.
Also, the place is really close to the interesting part of the city and still is the cheapest.
An amazing place. Not one for people who like modern hotels and facilities but if you want more like a B&B in a old fashioned home (National Trust property for UK readers) then this is brilliant. Perfect location too.
Big and clean room with comfortable bed.
Hotel location is at walking distance to the city center but far enough to skip traffic jams.
Excellent breakfast and service.
Personnel is very friendly and professional.
Breakfast was very efficient, delicious, healthy and varied - in short - a fantastic breakfast.
Location very convenient and central.
Beautifully and tastefully furnished boutique hotel!!!
I love the fact that this hotel is right at the center of Ubeda . All restaurant bar ...are new by . The hotel team is very responsive and I was getting reply to question in the next 5 min
This is one of the best hotels we ever had been in a while. The location, the room, staff, breakfast and restaurant are unbelievable. Excellent, top of the list for us. Highly recommended!
The Staff was amazing, very kind. The breakfast was super good. The location was in the historical center. There was a free parking very close to the hotel.
