Lovely city. Spent 3 days but 2 would have been plenty however we needed to stop moving for a few days after travelling for 3 weeks.
Lots to see and walk to.
Great bars and restaurants and if you like blood pudding sausage then it’s everywhere. I just had to escape it.
Must bars charge a couple of euros for a glass of wine plus you receive a tapa. Mostly it’s cured meats and bread. Sometimes it’s the morcilla or if you’re lucky, another taps could be hard cheese with bread or potato wedges.

It was only a short visit arriving late afternoon and leaving just after 10am the next day. However we enjoyed our evening walk.
We stayed in the same hotel in 2022 and had more time to look around.
- The Catedral de León is a must visit
- The Museo Casa Botines Gaudí has a beautiful facade but we didn't have the opportunity to visit the museum
We also enjoyed having a coffee and croissant breakfast at the Café Bar La Dama next door to the FC Infantas de León we were staying in.

First time in León and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Drinks and tapas, shopping, exploring ancient Churches and other sites, processions of Semana Santa. Lots of choices of what you may want to do. Definitely want to explore some more, so will make a return trip at some point.

Beautiful city full of history and good eating places.
Beautiful city full of history and good eating places. Specialty of the region was roast suckling pig and lamb. It has an outstanding cathedral, larger than I expected and most beautiful.
The apartment was ample and comfortable, even though it had no air conditioning. It wasn't needed for this time of the year.

León is a great city to visit, with lots of history, numerous tourist attractions and wonderful museums. It's easy to walk around, clean and neat. The Cathedral, Museo / Basilica de San Isidoro (where the Holy Grail is located), Convento de San Marco and Museo de Castille Y León (free admission) are not to be missed. I found the food relatively cheap compared to other cities. Lunch at Ezequiel was a great experience, though it may be a little difficult to get a table at peak hours. Enjoy!
The hotel is located in the very center of the city, near to the cathedral and many restaurants and services.
The reception is not 24h available but prior to the arrival day you will be provided with codes and instruction to check yourself in.
The room is very small but has everything you may need and in my case I had a beautiful view on the street.
Comfortable bed with good blankets, a small but well equipped restroom with a very nice shower.
I would definitely define it as a good deal if you need to rest for a couple of days in Leon.
We had a great stay: the hotel is situated in the most central spot of Leon (but no problem at all with noise at night in the rooms!) and has a very great luxury restaurant underneath it. What we loved the most was the spa: it's a small space but with a lot of amenities! And the staff was great at guiding us through what to test and in which order. The quality time in the spa, altogether with the great mattress in our bedroom made us sleep like babies!
What made this Hostal exceptional was the service. Rosalia and her son run a fantastic little hostel very close to the old city. The son in particular (sorry I can’t remember his name!) was so kind and sent me a bunch of restaurant recommendations and added points of interest on a map of León and overall went above and beyond to extend a warm stay. Thank you Hostal Alvarez <3
This hotel is close to Leon Cathedral and in a great location to reach anywhere in Leon's old town. It is safe even at late hours and is blocked from outside noise. Very clean, perfect bedding and friendly staff. There are massage chairs, and for Koreans traveling here, it's great that you can communicate in Korean. Very strongly recommended.
Fantastic location in the centre of Leon on Plaza San Isidoro . We had a landmark view of the Basilica San Isidoro from our room. The hotel offered secure storage for our bicycles .
Breakfast was at Restaurant Boccalino, owned by the hotel - great croissant, juice , coffee..
Great location, easy walking distance (15 mins) across the foot bridge to the centre of Leon, and easy to access the hotel by car. We found free parking on the street nearby. Both check-in and check-out was easy and the receptionist friendly.
We enjoyed some of the best nights sleep we’ve experienced being on the Camino. The hotel was first rate. The staff pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast was wonderful and offered a multitude of choices. Would stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel for one night on a road trip through Spain. Room 809 was excellent.
Awesome in every aspect I can talk about. Front desk staff members were super friendly and helpful, especially Pedro.
The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to get to know central Leon. With the Cathedral a mere 18 minute walk away and the famous hostal just across the pond.... Perfect for a weekend getaway.
A hotel in a truly amazing location -- right on the main square with Leon cathedral. Lots of great restaurants around. We were doing the Camino and it was a magnificent way to spend the night in Leon.
The whole hotel is lovely and the rooms are big. The staff at the reception were super friendly and helpful (-: And the location is great - 10min walk tops from every important site in center Leon.
Great quiet hotel next to Leon's hospital. Easy to get any point in Leon from the hotel. My only gripe is that it was too hot in the room, but that was easily circumvented by opening the window.
Location is terrific! And the hotel is charming with the beautiful brickwork and French doors to the street. The rooms were furnished simply - which was perfect.
This hotel is my preferred choice in Leon and provides all the facilities I require. Staff are always helpful and attentive, rooms are always spotlessly clean.
classic hotel in beautiful setting in the heart of Leon and part of Plaza Mayor with plenty of restaurants and sightseeing literally outside of the building!
