You can access fewer interest points from here (at least by bus) than from the west coast. Still well connected by buses to get to important points such as Cuevas del Drach (dragon caves) -not to be missed in the south (Porto Cristo) or Rafael Nadal museum in Manacor, or Alcudia in the north. Plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, markets nearby and some minor beaches. Less crowded than the big resorts on the west coast. I heard more talking in german here than on the west coast (though speaking English you won't have a problem here). Quieter area than the big resorts, but still a decent nightlife in October here. Very safe, I liked it here.

Very touristic place, with loads of Germans and English tourists. We were looking mostly for local experiences, so we only stayed here for one night which was just enough. The food prices were quite high, to be expected when this area is so popular. Most resaturants catered for what the tourists were looking for and not as much local traditional food. The beach isn't too clean, it is filled with plastic trash, yet everyone seemed to be bothered only with the seaweed, which is entirely natural.

This charming seaside town is touristic, but not too crowded even at peak season. Though it's across the island from the airport you can easily get there using the shuttles that leave frequently at all hours, but have your hotel reserve in advance. The beaches and walking paths are lovely, and there are many shops and restaurants. Do not plan on changing currencies there. Money exchanges are almost nonexistent and charge 30% commission. We stayed 4 days, but a week would've been ok.

Cala Ratjada is tourist spot with everything you need especially for families.
People are extremely friendly so you feel that you're welcome. Prices are normal, not the cheapest, not too expensive but definitely you get your moneys worth.
From local cuisine, to some serious barbecue, you can find it all.

Cala Ratjada is really picturesque city with beautiful embankment. Unfortunately the beaches are not huge, so people sit not far away from each other. Sometimes it´s hard to find place at some beaches. But it won´t be a problem, if you go on Cala de S'Aguila :)

This is a lovely resort; there are plenty of really nice shops, great restaurants and a beautiful harbour and seafront. The local people are very friendly and helpful. There is more to do here than in some resorts we travelled through. I think this resort is probably just as nice, if not nicer, than Port de Pollenca.
Hotel was very good and would look to return. Breakfast and dinner were superb with lots of options. The swimming pools were excellent and our 3 year old grandson had a great time in them.
The hotel rooms if you have a garden facing provide a good view, but some rooms at the back of the hotel might not have such a good outlook. The rooms themselves are very spacious, clean and well maintained.
The location of the hotel is only about 10 minutes walk to the beach or town centre.
Wi-Fi was excellent.
The hotel and its staff were all great! Including comfortable room and great/ exceptional food! (We had breakfast and dinner). We had a sea/ terrace view from our room which was amazing. Loved everything about the hotel. I even got allergic reaction during my stay and hotel prepared a food to take to my room (smoothies, soups etc). Staff was extremely kind to us. Hotel is close to the Agulla beach (Cala Agulla) - great beach with a clean water. You can go through the town or behind the hotel along the coast.
We spent 4 nights with half-board in mid-October:
The hotel looks nice, clean and modern. Also the room with a side seaview.
Very nice location (for us) close to a very nice beach and Cala Ratjada town.
Very nice and spacious pool area.
Good food, although the selection is smaller than what we got in a previous 4star in Mallorca for similar price. Also the desserts weren't that good.
Very good price in the off-season.
I loved everything about my stay here. As a wary solo traveler I was looking for a place that was quite, remote (with access to food, shopping, beaches) and most importantly for me, parking. Mallorca in the summer time is packed, but this hotel allows you to forget that. The Cala Gat had every thing, in addition to exceptional staff who were kind and accommodating.
During my recent on-night stay at the B&B, I found it to be charmingly antique and conveniently located near the beach and bus stops. Although I had to to check in and out at the hotel across the street, the process was smooth and the breakfast served there was delicious. While my stay was short to be comfortable enough. Overall, it was good for a night
Cute, quiet and well kept little hotel in Cala ratjada. The friendly staff did everything to make our stay enjoyable, especially amidst the COVID-19 restrictions. Beyond ordering dinners for us after the 5 PM restaurant curfew, serving breakfast to individually, they even brought in a doctor to do our Covid tests for the return trip to Germany.
The hotel was very comfortable, nice breakfast served, the staff was very friendly and polite and offer to help with any request. It is very well located in Cala Ratjada, close to shops, cafes, restaurants and the port. I definatelly recommend this property and plan to come back!
Modern, simply furnished clean spacious rooms. Good breakfast and dinner. Sympathetic and communicative staff. Quality Wifi. Good location in the center of town that pulsates with youth and holiday mood. Nearby is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca - Cala Mesquida.
The staff is extremely friendly and always very helpful. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The balcony is great. The AC is not too loud at night, the wifi works great. The best is the breakfast where they serve really everything. Absolutely recommended.
really nice hotel for family holidays everything was great food was delicious evening programs close to beach but the best is that is really for kids and parents nobody gives you a bad look when kids jumping 100x to pool we will definitely come back
The staff were great , very nice and professional. I like the location it was a little bit away from busy area and my room was quiet. The AC in my room was by far the best of all 3 hotels I stayed at in Mallorca. The breakfast was good.
The location was good and you are far enough from Party district so that it is quiet enough to rest. 10 minutes walk to beach.
Price was the best for our stay in August. We only stayed 3 days and for that duration it is ok.
The breakfast was tasty, well presented and very fresh. Great way to start your day the atmosphere was lovely, the staff are kind personal and care about your comfort.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone
Full size 25m indoor pool was just amazing. Food was tasty and with a great variety.
Location was also great for me - both quiet and within walking distance both to sea and to Cala Ratjada Harbor.
Breakfast was served at the hotel across the street and it was excellent. Location is good, except for the traffic noise,
Severely enhanced by the open windows due to no air con.
Perfect location if You sre looking to spend loads of time on the best beach of Cala Ratjada! Lovely building, comfortable apartments. Recommended warmly for families!
