Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Mojacar is a medieval Moorish, town in the Spanish Province of Almería. This white-walled destination, which is situated on a rocky hillside at the foot of the Sierra de Cabrera, will surprise you with its natural beauty and unique architecture.
Rich in history and cultural heritage, Mojacar has been populated since the 2000 BC by Moors, Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans. Today, it is a maze of narrow streets with local shops, street markets and restaurants serving traditional dishes like the ancient 'gachas'.
Travellers can park their car and explore the old town of this beautiful resort on foot. Home to 17 km of Blue Flag sandy beaches like Granatilla, the Playa de los Genoveses and the Playa de Monsul, the modern part of this coastal resort is an ideal place to enjoy outdoor activities like swimming, sailing and surfing. Golf lovers can visit the 18-hole courses of the Marina Golf and Desert Springs.
Almería Airport is about 55 km from Mojacar and has flights to big cities like London, Brussels and Barcelona. Check the Booking.com deals and choose from a variety of hotels, apartments and guest houses in Mojacar or the nearby cities of Vera and Carboneras.

A beautiful setting completely turned over to tourism.
A beautiful setting completely turned over to tourism. Beachfront section is super developed and too lengthy to walk. Are those hotels all-inclusives? The lack of private restaurants and supermarkets would indicate so.

Fantastic views. Not many (or any ?)
Fantastic views. Not many (or any ?) eating places open early on Saturday evening in late November, but I was told sometimes they open up later on. If relying on this for a meal it's worth checking in advance. But it's an attractive settlement with impressive panoramic scenic views.

The views are amazing and the various streets are picturesque. We live on an urbanisation in Spain and the difference is unique

Very good beaches also lots of different restaurants.
Very good beaches also lots of different restaurants. We ate at The Lemon Lounge (very good value for money and very yummy), Cheers (very good food and service), Chae's (wonderful fish and chips also the curry was lovely), Hong Kong (very nice food but slow service), Indian Restaurant (forgot name but it is near the opticians) very nice. The Cariba which was near the hotel for lunch, very good value for a lovely lunch).
It is very easy to get from place to place in Mojacar wither by car, which there are no parking fees, or by bus which is very cheap.
We usually stay in The Oasis Del Mar which is near a large amount of restaurants and a beach across the road (our special place in Mojacar)

lovely holiday beach resort with facilities to suit all budgets and ages. It's worth a trip to the old town which is a few minutes away by car. I had expected some shops along the front but they didn't exist just the normal cheap china shops.

plenty of Local Restaurants & Bars. All great value.
plenty of Local Restaurants & Bars. All great value. Great Beach walking distance from Hotel. Village of Mojacar is a lovely quaint village well worth visiting. 10 mins drive from Beach. Favourite places to eat was by the Seafront. I would avoid Taxi's as not reliable, and hard to get,use the local Bus service which is excellent.
Greeting at hotel was very good...nice and welcoming.
Location of hotel pretty good - right on the beach & we had a room with balcony overlooking the beach and sun rise! The hotel was close to restaurants and cafes, and about 3 miles from Mojacar Town. Beach is fairly stoney but OK.
Hotel room was very good ..spotlessly clean and tidy as was the rest of the hotel.
Breakfast was excellent...fab choice.
Great value for money!!!
Pool was in front of the hotel but we didn't use it as it.
Most of the staff were very friendly
the apartment was very clean and look like the pictures. it has an amazing terrace with sea view that is perfect for furry friends.
the kitchen has good ménage and all you need to start cooking.
they have washing machine and provide the soap
Pablo was very kind with us. the handling of the key is personal since there is a deposit of 200€ that you must provide in cash.
easy to arrive by car. For sure to repeat if we return to mojacar again
Open the door from the room and there's the beach!
It's a hotel from the 80s so isn't decorated in a modern style by any means, but that pales completely into insignificance when you consider the beachfront location, the service from Paca, the owner and the breakfast (continental). All this for just over 40€.
I'll definitely be back there.
Breakfast lovely-:loads of variety and nespresso coffee.
Check out not till 12- so we got an extra swim. One of the few hotels that keeps pool open to end of October.
Perfect for my dog- outside enclosed courtyard.
The complex is like a small village with lovely established gardens
Lovely little casa by the beach, 8 minute drive from the old town. With plenty of choice for food and drinks nearby. Very calm and had a good sleep. Good value for money and clean. Dogfriendly! They have a resident cat so if your dog isn't cat friendly keep an eye out for its safety.
Fantastic location. Fantastic price. Fantastic accommodation. Fantastic host. The room was basic, but extremely clean and had everything needed for a lovely stay in the pueblo. Extremely clean with fresh linen and towels every day. Mojacar's little secret...
What a little gem! Great location ( although we were happy there was a lift!). This family run hotel was superb, great room with amazing view. Easy to walk around the old town….we really enjoyed our short visit…. Highly recommended.Thank you Alberto & Miki.
Absolutely stunning location. Charming little town. We are so glad we chose to stay in the town rather than the beach. Very romantic feel to everything. The owner provided the best recommendations so we were well prepared to have a great time. Thank you!!
The hotel is in a great position opposite the beach, it's a short walk to shops, restaurants & clubs & has a lovely pool area.
There's a bus service outside & a convenient supermarket beneath.
The family owners are very helpful & friendly.
Small hotel , good value for money.
The location is perfect, very close to the beach.
The vibe of Mojácar beach & old town is very nice, therefore we decided to stay another night in Mojácar and this was no problem for the hotel owner.
Friendly greeting. Great check in experience thanks to Alena and the lady working the day shift reception.
Best breakfast so far on our month long adventure across the southern coast of Spain.
Absolutely idyllic apartment in Mojacar pueblo. Stunning views to the sea and secreted away from the busy outside world by a cave-like staircase. Hosts were so welcoming and kind. We loved it.
The apartment was fantastic. It was large and very modern with everything you need. It was in the best part of Mojacar near bars and restaurants. It also had great underground parking.
Interior of hotel kept well & clean which was at odds with pool area. Rooms comfortable, with AC. Close to restaurants & bars with buses to old town just a few mins walk away.
