It is port city. Not touristic. Bad moment - was no beach near and everywhere in cafes and restaurants no wifi internet. no printed paper menu, it is needed to be scan by QR code with special application in mobile phone which need internet connection. Why no wifi? When in all other cities in Spain this option is available.

It's a very interesting and nice city.
It's a very interesting and nice city. People are very kind and pleasant. There are not as many tourists as in the south of the island. Living in a local neighborhood outside the center was very nice to interact with local people. There are many pleasant cafes and restaurants. There is also a great urban transport system of trams and buses. It is also a beautifully green city with many parks.

We have only ever visited during carnival which is extremely full-on everyday, so don't expect to feel rested after a holiday during that period. But do expect to feel exhilarated by the noise, music, costumes, fancy dress and joy.
I think it would be a lovely place to stay outside of carnival as a city break in dependable warm weather.
Its an easy bus trip to Playa de las Teresitas, and there are many efficient bus routes to other regions of the island. If you wanted to go off the beaten track car hire would be useful. Few if any organised trips start from Santa Cruz, for example, trips Mount Tiede tend to originate from the southern resorts.
Much of the centre is pedestrianised. Its a city for locals so don't expect all menus to be translated. Food orientated towards local taste also, which is excellent IMO.
Lots of good shops in the centre.
No great permanent cultural highlights, although I understand the Tenerife Orchestra is one of the best in Spain.

The breakfast room is really small, and in a busy morning, you would have to wait in the queue for others to finish eating so you could find a seat. Besides that, the room was not what I'd have expected from a 4 star hotel at all, with the windows doing weird noises due to the wind. The elevator was creaking from all it's joints. I believe this hotel is overpriced for what it has to offer and for it's location. I was expecting more from this hotel and the city, had a 3 nights stand but ended up checking-out after the first day.
The hotel looks great from the outside, the whole area is clean and welcoming. All shared spaces look impressive, exactly what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The views, both the city and inner yard, from the hotel are great. The breakfast is very delicious and there's a lot of variety, although for longer stays it gets a bit boring because the main dishes stay mostly the same. And finally, all staff is great, one of the best personnels I have seen at any hotel.
And a welcome return to Principe Paz, simply a great centrally located hotel in the centre of Santa Cruz. Staff are helpful and friendly. Hotel is modern and my room was a good size with nice facilities. I will come back here for sure, it does everything you need for a city stay. They also provided a picnic bag as I had to miss breakfast. The picnic was more than enough.
The hotel is located in the perfect area of Santa Cruz. Nearby the main bus station (Intercambiador), from where you can explore the rest of an island if you are not renting a car. Rooms are actually pretty comfy, spacious and with lots of lightning. Breakfast was decent, with lots of selection of both - sweet and salty stuff, absolutely loved their pastries!
The location of Urban Anaga Hotel is amazing. The main streets of Santa Cruz as well as a lot of excellent bars and restaurants are a foot walk away. Our room was also very specious and quiet and had all the necessary amenities. The hotel also has a lovely Japanese restaurant and a rooftop terrace.
The hotel location is very good. We had a large room, lots of storage. There are small streets with lots of restaurants and small shops. Very Good breakfast, a variety of hot and cold items. Good area for breakfast. The tram lines runs in front of hotel, excellent for going to Laguna.
This hotel has good quality/price ratio, is located in the center of Santa Cruz and is clean. You need however, to count with the noise coming from the street and another thing which i didnt like was strong AIR PARFUME smell in the room. Even with open windows it didnt desapear.
This was our third stay at the Hotel Colon Rambla. We were upgraded to a fantastic suite. The customer service was excellent as usual. This is a great location to access all of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The rooms, hotel bar, restaurant and breakfast are all high quality.
Very convenient location near the indoor market and other city attractions. Staff very welcoming and clean, comfortable room. For the night of the Carnival Parade, rates were obviously higher but still moderate compared to similar hotels in the area.
The hotel is located in the centre of Santa Cruz, a block away from the Principe de Asturias park/square. It was a decent value for money, given the location. It had a 24 hour reception desk and the staff were nice and approachable.
Nice reception hall. Bed was comfortable. Room was very quite at night. Hotel is located at a very nice park (almost a botanical garden). Location of hotel is very convenient, close to everything Santa Cruz has to offer.
Room was very warm ,no air conditioning, the mini refrigerator barely worked, it was stifling and woke up every night after a couple of hours sleep, it was a nonsmoking hotel but that was not implemented at all.
Lovely hotel, great location in the centre of Santa Cruz. Good for shops, restaurants etc Really comfortable rooms, very good service and a great breakfast. Highly recommended and we will visit again. thank you.
In the heart of Santa Cruz. I expected 3star outdated hoted but it was very good convinient hotel in busy earea. Beds were comfortable, linen soft and bright white, toiletries included. quiet AV was a bonus
The hotel was incredible. The suite exceeded our expectations with the utmost attention to details. Our host was amazing!!! So helpful and great restaurant recommendations!
Reasonable to visit hotel in Santa Cruz - interesting Asian restaurant, good location in a quiet area near the park, with spa and good gym. Perfect staff.
