The room was clean and comfortable for my son and I.
Between lush hills and undulating coastline, Gijón is the largest city in Asturias. Its oldest part covers a peninsula with the modern Elogio del Horizonte sculpture at its green tip. Cobbled streets house brightly painted restaurants and bars serving the acclaimed local cider, and arches leading to stylish Plaza Mayor. Underground are the Campo Valdés Roman bath ruins, and Campa de Torres has an archaeology park.
Flanking the peninsula is Poniente beach, curving between the marina and aquarium, and overlooked by the Talasoponiente spa. Small Playa del Arbeyal is by the port, and the promenade of popular San Lorenzo beach continues to the waterfront San Pedro church.
Gijón activities include diving and dolphin watching, and there are 2 golf courses surrounded by nature. The Atlantic Botanical Gardens were the first in northern Spain, and sit across from the impressive buildings of Laboral University’s Viesques campus. Landscaped Isabel La Católica Park is close to the El Bibio bullring and across the river are the Gijón Exhibition Center and Asturias Museum.
Another museum was home to the city’s most famous son, Melchor de Jovellanos. One of his namesakes is an elegant theater overlooking Paseo de Begoña park.
Booking.com’s Gijón accommodations include luxury beachfront hotels, guesthouses near the train station, and historic country houses.

It was definitely 5 star the bed linen and towels were 100% spotless and smelled so clean
Alba at the front desk was professional beautiful and beyond helpful- grew up in Gijon and sent us to all the best places- we loved everything she recommended compared to tonight accommodation which was twice the price and we are sorely disappointed… nothing compared to our stay last night! We will definitely be back to Gijon and this hotel absolutely fantastic

Gijón is very charming with lots of different neighborhoods to explore and very easy to get around on foot. There are many shops and cafes and a good variety of restaurants at different price ranges. The beach is beautiful and wide and the old quarter is wonderful. A real vacation place when you want to relax although it a lot of cultural/historic sites if that is what you’re looking for. Climate is great if you’re trying to escape the heat!

Wonderful town/city.
Wonderful town/city. Loads of interesting shops, restaurants and cafes, historical building’s the,old quarter, was fascinating. The town had the vibrancy of say, Brighton, quirky cafes as well as high class restaurants. Great 4 course set menus, including wine, too much food, but not complaining! Great bakeries and cake shops. Friendly people, good parks, lots I didn’t get time to see. Easy supermarkets plus Lidl.

It is so nice city, just a bit advice, try to enjoy other areas rather just the center. And if you prefer the night life, you will definitely need to stay in Oviedo and visit Gijón during the day time. The beaches there r so nice and ppl too, and it is cheaper than Ovieado. Whenever you go away from the centeral station google map gives the wrong bus stops.
Try to visit other cities nearby, but first discover oviedo it has a lot to do at.

Gijon has everything.
Gijon has everything. Good waves and good places for climbing. Is Asturias, the Paradise. A piece of Ireland in Spain, a piece of "La Bretagne" in Spain.
Rainy, green, mountains and a savage coast.
This is a great spacious modern hotel with clean rooms providing tea and coffeee making fascilities. The staff were freindly, advising us where to visit in Gijon, both sites and places to eat and drink.
Althoiugh we didn't use the gym, it is well equipped and well layed out.
The under ground secure parking is excellent. It is via a downward spiral drive and through a garage door, with easy parking places. It may get full very quickly if busy.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Bedroom was huge, comfy and clean. Bathroom/shower was great too. Staff at the reception desk were very helpful and they recommended a restaurant in the old harbour in which we had a great dinner. Very close to the beach and the city centre, and just a walk away from the old town (around 30 mins). Easy and free parking on the street nearby.
Small, centrally located hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Public parking one block away with a good rate for hotel guests. Ivan, at the front desk, indicated places to see and restaurant recommendations. Ladies at the bar/room service were very helpful with suggestions from nearby restaurants as the hotel does not have a kitchen. Would definitely return.
Modern looking hotel, friendly staff at the reception. The spa is pretty nice although it's underground. It has a small swimming pool and some water beds / jets. The room looked nice, modern and clean. The heated towel rack in the bathroom is a great addition. The spacious bath tub will allow for a relaxing bath.
Located just a short walk from the famous Gijón sign. This operates like a B&B, so it’s very personal service. The hostess waited late for our arrival. She was really pleasant and attentive. The room is clean and fairly quiet, even though it faces a busy street.
It was a beautiful hotel in the middle of Gijon. They are 24 hour and were ready to receive us even though we arrived late on a bus from Bilbao. Breakfast was great and plentiful, also amazingly served from 7-11. I recommend this hotel for a visit to Gijon.
I picked this hotel because of price and proximity to bus and train stations. Loved the chance to stay at a place with a family feel. the building is older but the room seemed fairly updated and the 2 sets of windows kept things pretty quiet.
Perfect and comfortable apartment with AC, full functioning bathroom and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and living room in center of Gijon. Very hospitable owner that allowed us to check in and check out outside of hours. Recommend!
Beautiful hotel in best location in Gijón. Super comfy bed plus great bathroom design.
Breakfast concept was just ideal.
All hotel staff were helpful and very friendly.
Definitely best hotel in town
A good hotel on the seaside and also very close to the city centre. Parking available in a public place nearby. Lots of cafés, restaurants around. Nice views.
Lovely hotel, Very clean with friendly staff who are always happy to help. Lovely comfortable beds, nice suites with big shower and nice bar/restaurant.
