The place is clean, food is excellent, and the staff is superb. The place is a bit out of the main city so not much to do unless you drive to the city, about 10-15 minutes drive. At the same time, that’s good because it is very quite and peaceful. Will come back for sure.

The owners were very helpful letting us check in early, giving us directions to the best restaurant for Cocido Margato and even called the restaurant to hold a table for us. They also told us about the Santa Semana festivities in the city (we were there the Sunday before Easter) and we greatly enjoyed the procession marking the religious heritage of the city. Astorga was one of the Apostalic churches in Spain and they played a very important role in the introduction of catholicism dating back to the time of Christ. The city also has a large Roman home that has been revealed through archeological digs that has a large intact Roman tile floor of birds and a bear. The Gaudi museum of the church is not to be missed! The old city was very easy to navigate with nice shops and very comfortable to walk with very restricted traffic access.
The property has lovely views of the mountains and is located directly on the Camino Santiago. They have a common area with large picture window that looks out on the mountains with comfy furnishings and drinks and snacks for purchase. Breakfast was wonderful, the room immaculate with every convenience.
