Room lovely, very clean, warm and welcoming. Shared kitchen and dining room was great especially as I'm vegan so eating out in Spain is difficult. Miguel also looked after our bags on the day we checked out.

The hostel is an old house centrally located in the medieval and unspoilt small town of Castaño de Robledo. It has been carefully restored keeping many of the interesting period features of the house, and tastefully furnished. Our room was clean and comfortable. Guests have access to a fully equiped kitchen, a pleasant garden and a lounge. Sasha, the host, was extremely helpful and a mine of information about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and were sorry to leave.
Great place to visit for those who like an authentic Spanish...
Great place to visit for those who like an authentic Spanish location and beautiful well signposted hiking trails.
It would be even better if there was a more frequent bus service from Aracena to Seville so you don’t have to hire a car or pay for a taxi.

Good choice of restaurants.
Good choice of restaurants. The Molinos was excellent and very lovely service. We ate twice in the Postada with Lucy's delicious dinners served outside. The tapas bars on the square all all very good too.
Just have to be aware of what days the are open tho!
Lots of trekking nearby. Very cosy and comfortable hotel. Large and well designed rooms with small veranda to enjoy fabulous views of the valley. Good parking space at the entrance to the hotel. The lane up to the entrance has plenty of spaces on the way to let other drivers pass if necessary. I was looking out for the spiders other guests wrote about but didn't find any.
Very relaxed. Room 6 English hosts, gt x 3 grandchildren of William Wordsworth. Everything beautiful, in the forest overlooking Alajar. Large room, patio, good electrics, pool. Loads of outdoor seating. Great views. Food excellent. Music night. Hosts organised trips and restaurant bookings for us. Breakfast very nice & friendly. Visit to Eiriz Iberico factory.
The outdoor patio was the best feature of the property as it was private and shaded. There were tables and chairs plus a cushioned, moveable, DIY sofa. The hamlet, El Collado, is very quiet. The nearby village Alajar is pretty with cafes, bars and restaurants. There are good walks from the property.
Lovely purpose built hotel in a wonderful location with nature and bird singing. Very relaxing.
Spacious room with a nice outdoor space. Swimming pool open.
Delicious dinner and breakfast and great hotel owners!!
Very happy with our stay.
A very interesting house in central location, with beautiful garden.
Good breakfast with choice of 5 home made breads
Our hosts were very helpful and made us feel at home.
Lots of good walking from Alajar
Great little hotel. Owners super nice and went the extra mile to make sure we got the best out of our stay. They had gone to a lot of effort to make the hotel as environmentally friendly as possible
very welcoming, beautiful views, food was excellent, Saturdays live music and dinner was a highlight of the trip, lovely local town of Alajar nearby, great walks from the hotel and felt secluded
Darling little house mere meters from the plaza de Alajar. Would comfortably accommodate a family of four. Super well appointed, tastefully decorated, and great communication with hostess.
The hotel is set in a beautiful village and has everything you need to make you enjoy your stay. it is very homely has coffee making facilities and many books on the area.
This is an incredible property, perfectly located within walking distance of Alajar and right on a variety of local trails. it’s very private, quiet and beautiful.
