Fun and Sun on the Costa Brava
A vibrant Costa Brava resort at the foot of mountains, Lloret de Mar has fabulous beaches and plenty to do for all ages. Carrer de Sant Pere leading inland from the beach has lots of international brands shopping and exclusive jewellers. The town also has excellent nightlife, with a wealth of restaurants, bars and one of the Costa Brava’s biggest casinos.
For a taste of culture, the Verdaguer Centre has relics from the Iberian settlement of Puig de Castellet dating to 250 BC.
Just north is Water World, one of Europe’s biggest waterparks, while offshore watersports include diving, snorkelling and sea kayaking. Lloret de Mar also offers go-karts and a few golf courses.
In the center of town are Booking.com’s selection of guest houses, apartments and hotels with pools, while high-rise Lloret de Mar hotels face the town’s 2 beaches – Fenals and Lloret. The latter has a long, tree-lined promenade ending at one of the craggy coves typical of this coastline. The walk up to the cliffs is worth it for the views over the town and Mediterranean Sea.
As Lloret de Mar is only around a 30 minute drive from Girona Airport, it’s not long before you can dip your toes in the water.

The small town surely has its own charm for certain groups of people, but probably not for families with small children, the beach is not clean, the sand is too rough for kids to play with, and the waves are too strong for swimming, which are very disappointing for my toddler. We did enjoy the hiking path along the coastline though， which was unexpected in my trip planning.

Lloret seems to be quite a sleepy seaside town with not much going on except the beach, but that was fine as that was all we wanted. There were lots of pubs and nightclubs around but 99% seemed to be closed. Again, this was great for us as we dislike that kind of thing! If you want to go for a jog on the beach, or a coastal walk or simply sit on the balcony and be mesmerised by the constantly changing sea view, this place is for you. I had hoped that I would find more Catalan speakers, as I am learning this language. All the shops and signposts are in Catalan, but most people speak Castillian Spanish. A wonderfully relaxing winter sun holiday for those who want to escape Christmas capitalist overkill.Emma - 4.0Scored 4.0

Very busy shops. Streets are really dirty and smelly! Smell like urine and drains. We also got lost ALOT and ended up walking in dodgy back streets. No signage and constantly on Google maps. Hotel Roger De Flor is by my opinion the best hotel to stay in Llore de Mar because we had one of the best hollydays ever

The location is perfect, 1 min walk to the Fenals beach and 15 min walking distance to Lloret de Mar. Also, the bus station is 40 m away from the hotel so you can take a bus ride to Lloret de Mar. The bus station where you can catch the bus to Barcelona is 10 min walk from the hotel and it is a 1-hour ride to beautiful Barcelona. The Staff is very polite, kind and helpful. The rooms are very clean, and towels and sheets are changed on a daily basis.

Staff where exemplary from start to finish very friendly helpful for any thing that was required. A great touch to the hotel to top it all off was the roof top bar and pool which is adult only aswell. Best hotel I've stayed in.
