Our room was beautifully-appointed, spacious, with a sunny terrace and a nice clean bathroom. We loved the inner courtyard of the hotel where we had dinner when we arrived and breakfast the next morning. The dinner was exceptionally good.

This is a great location on the outskirts of Puerto de La Cruz overlooking banana plantations with no plastic poly tunnels in sight. The rental was well equipped although I’m not sure it meets the description of luxury (lujoso) in 2022, E.g. halogen cook top. Elizabeth the host was delightful and very helpful. Off street parking is shaded and secure. You are welcome to use the whole garden.

It is a really nice accommodation - and really among the avocados. It is a cosy place where you can chill and have a good vacation. Inside there is enough space and place as well outside. It is very private because of all the avocados and plants all around the house. You can have breakfast inside and outside (in front of the entrance or in the back on the terrace - or if you like on the sun deck; the last one is also nice for having Yoga.)
Ted is a very friendly and lovely host. We had good conversations, got good recommendations about the area around the cottage. We also had the opportunity to taste some of the avocados. In case of questions - Ted is there. Thanks.
To get there a car is preferred - but we think bus would be also possible ... . We had a really good time and will definitely come back.
Featuring garden views, Alojamiento acogedor y tranquilo provides accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 5.2 km from Taoro Park.

A historical town with character.
A historical town with character. Has a lot of good architecture and period villas. Walking around the city gets you back to 18th, 19th century.
If you appreciate historic towns this one should not be skipped.
Bonus: La Orotava is one of the 3 access points to mount Teide so if you plan to go up towards the mountain it's a good place to set a base at.

This little city is just a little gem: beautiful overall, colonial style architecture, well preserved, magnificent gardens, far from the noisy mass tourism, elegant, full of flowers, amazing vue. I've visited the city many times last year and with Puerto de la Cruz, I think is by far the nicest area on the island. I left in the early morning and I could smell the flowers fragances everywhere on the air.

Lovely old town from which to venture out across the north and northeast/northwest of the island. Visited in November and the climate was lovely for eating out in the various plazas and gardens of the town at night. Everything is on a slope so not ideal for the infirm but we felt safe and had no issues navigating about the city centre.

It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park.
It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park. Nice historic town - old grand houses / a good museum / a couple of gardens of interest, good views of the cost, a few good restaurants and a fun bar at the town centre / main square .. We ate at Dabeke a bit out of town but very good food and at Sabot Canario which was OK (limited menu but recommend the rabbit stew )... Gastro Lercaro looked very good but unfortunately it wasn't open for dinner while we were there ....

It is misleading to describe the Parador de Cañadas del...
It is misleading to describe the Parador de Cañadas del Teide as "La Orotava". Although administratively correct (the hotel belongs to the La Orotava municipality) La Orotava is a small, very nice, city, certainly worth visiting, but the hotel is where it should be: in the middle of the national park, dozens of kilometers from the city.
At the city: take a long, leasurely walk; enjoy the architecture, the pubs, the parks, the view, the food.
At the hotel: be prepared for good hikes -smaller ones also available; study the paths beforehand and walk, walk, walk!
The location was fantastic for exploring the historic centre on foot and we were lucky enough to be able to park right outside throughout our 3 night stay.
Our room was very spacious and quiet and we had our own roof terrace which was great.
The staff were very friendly and helpful (they recommended the Parada Bar/Restaurant for dinner which was great in terms of location, food, service and value).
The breakfast was excellent and the hotel's roof terrace provided fantastic views from the sea to the volcano.
The house and garden with all their details were beautiful attractions in themselves and the atmosphere in the house was very different to any of our previous stays elsewhere. The hosts Laura and her mother were not only helpful but let us feel as if we and the other guests would be part of the family. The house and surroundings are very peaceful, but still practically in the middle of La Orotava. Views are great. Breakfast was good and – as everything in the house – esthetically served.
Mary was an excellent host! She provided everything we needed for our beautiful studio apartment and the info she gave us for sights and restaurant recommendations were perfect. The studio is in the heart of Orotava, within walking distance of all major locations. We highly recommend it and we would definitely stay again if we ever return to Tenerife. Such a beautiful island and a fantastic apartment! Thank you, Mary!
PRO'S:
The location of the house is good, close to La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz. The view from the outdoor space are beautiful and very relaxing.
There are two free parking outside the house and the check-in/ check-out have been flexibile and easy.
At a glance the open kitchen and living room looks like traditional canarian country house.
This apartment is very spacious and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views out of the large windows are amazing. Located in the heart of town with ample, easy parking right up the street. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this property for your visit to Tenerife.
Flat was very clean and had everything you need (many utensils).
Each apartment has own parking space.
You can use swimming pool anytime and the garden around the hotel is pretty relaxing.
It is located in the suburbs of the town, in quiet area, so you need to drive to the older part or walk a bit.
Comfortable bed, great kitchen with all basic amenities, helpful stay who provided great recommendations and was prompt to respond. Terrific location relative to hiking address and other places to explore nearby. Close to groceries and walking distance to botanical garden, la Orotava, and more.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Beatriz. The location was perfect and La Orotava was the nicest town. We would go back without any hesitation. Beatriz was very welcoming and very helpful. The house very well appointed and clean. We were a group of 4 and we all enjoyed our stay very much.
Very nice hotel in central La Orotava. The room was nice, it had a nice view. People were very friendly, and we even got a introduction in the paintings and the work of the late Senor Otazzo, which was great!
We enjoyed our stay very much
Really friendly hostel. The Owner and the volunteers are super nice and helpful. Good place to meet lovely people. Beautiful rooftop terrace, yoga mats, towels, free coffee. And La Orotava is beautiful! Would come back :-)
Beautiful place in the centre of a beautiful town La Orotava! All the details give you comfort and coziness. The kitchen is well equipped as well. The host is very nice and communicative too!
Everything! The localisation was perfect in the center of La Orotava, our host was helpful, the hotel is charming and nicely decorated. We had a room with a balcony and that was a real asset.
Friendly welcoming, Manfred is a fantastic host, he gave us all the information needed to visit La Orotava. Great atmosphere in Hostel Tenerife. Beautiful views from the terrace.
Hotel Alhambra is an absolutely beautiful accommodation! The building itself is fascinating, and the owner has decorated it with pieces of art and stunning period furniture.
owner is a very nice person. we love the breakfast and the presentation. The hotel is old but we love the antique style. The location is perfect in la orotava
