Hotel Santo Domingo Lucena is set in the heart of the historic Andalusian town of Lucena. The building was once a convent, and still has a beautiful 18th-Century cloister.

Everything you need for a good stay in Lucena, the apartment was modern and well-equipped, there was a coffee machine and capsules provided, milk in the fridge and some cakes too. There was also everything necessary for cooking meals etc.
Also the location was excellent, a short stroll from bars and restaurants.

A wonderful, modern, soundproofed room, light blocking curtains, firm bed, good bathroom, very close to the heart of Lucena. Extremely nice receptionist, very kind to a dusty and tired pilgrim walking the Camino Mozárabe, not put off by her worn backpack!
Lucena is a wonderful Spanish town. You get the real Spanish experience. I'd recommend knowing a bit of Spanish as most people don't speak English. It's a real Spanish town. The drinks are cheap and they come with tapa. It's not like Malaga which is an awesome place but for tourists, that are will to pay for the Spanish experience. In Lucena you get the real Spanish experience. The people are crazy friendly and charming.
It's easy to get around, everything is in walking distance. If you want to visit other towns you'd have to rent a car or get a bus, but there is a bus station with regular services to the big cities like Malaga, Grananda, Cordoba, Sevilla etc. There's also blabla car which is a good option to see other places. There are always people passing through Lucena.
It's probably not the best place to stay for a long holiday but for a few nights, there is plenty to see and do. There are certain times of year where they have lots going on, parades down the street like in Christmas and Easter. Then in September they have a great feria which is worth experiencing.
Both Dinner and Breakfast were lovely although the room it was served in was a bit sparse in personality - I think the main dining room was set up for private events.
The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was clean and well maintained- as was the bathroom.
The staff were friendly and we liked the very traditional Spanish food and ambience.
The hotel was very peaceful once the party guests left
Comfy bed, good shower pressure, nice size rooms and close to sights and restaurants. We used the recommended parking lot which was easy access and cheap. Fuensanta was really helpful before and during our stay and kept in touch to make sure everything went well. Lucena's a great place to stay with several sights and super cheap drinks and tapas.

The room was very clean and spacious. We had a window to the backyard with an olive groves view which was a bonus because the hostal is located on a very busy road. Just take into account that it's out of Lucena, quite difficult to walk to (follow Via Verde if you are a pilgrim like us).
This is a brand new hotel and the design and furnishings are excellent. The staff member we dealt with was very helpful and friendly and provided us with great support. The location is very central and close to the historical center of Lucena. Overall an excellent new hotel.

the place was perfectly clean and well located in the town, the hosts were very helpful and very easy to deal with, would highly recommend to others as a great base from which to explore Lucena town and the surrounding area! thanks!
This hotel is impecable, the air conditioning works very well, everything is brand-new. A great deal of thought has been put into making guests' stay very comfortable and the staff is so sweet and helpful.
Central location, but quiet. Large room but with limited view. The courtyard was lovely to sit in. A safe space was provided for our bikes. Pleasant bar attached to the hotel.
The location of the apartment was ok, easy to get in as soon as we arrive at Lucena. The best thing was the air conditioner, amazing because it was very hot.
Lovely modern hotel , beautiful rooms & friendly helpful staff.
Great location right in the centre with lots of bars and resturant within walking distance
