The old city of Toledo looks magnificent from the parador or from across the valley. There is an attractive river walk outside the city wall with historic bridges which lead up to the city. There are many cobbled streets to wander around but we couldn’t find a quiet traffic free square to enjoy a coffee and people watch. Beautiful storybook-like old town. Great food everywhere. Our faves were the churros and carcamusas. If walking is not for you, there's a cute train that you can ride to see the highlights without having to walk up and down the cobbled streets.

The city is beautiful.
The city is beautiful. The sites however aren't much to look at. The only two really worth it was the cathedral and the jesuit church. For example, the synagogue, you enter and you've seen it all. That was a recurrent theme in all our visits. You could see a site in two minutes. The Alcazar was closed except for the military museum part of it. Not much to seeRicardoPortugal

Getting to the hotel in a family car is a challenge, because the streets are very narrow with sharp turns. The garage is right next to the hotel - very cramped for a family car, but again, we managed to both: drive and park the car in the garage (with the active help of a hotel employee)v_g_tIsrael

Hotel is half way up the hill at the very edge of the old town, so benefits for great views and is away from noise and hustle of more central venues. I had one of the smaller rooms, but this was more than adequate. The manager/host was very warm and welcoming and is much the reason I rate the hotel so high. Should I ever return to Toledo I would certainly stay here.

It is a big hotel with a nice architectural concept but the years have left their marks everywhere, see further down. If you want to walk it's about 15-20 minutes. Toledo is all about hills up and down and the hotel is 2 minutes away from the electric stairs that take to the center (shops, restaurants, etc) Receptionists are all kind and super helpful with directions and recommendations on where to have good food.
