The Hotel Rural Victoria is beautifully located between the sea and the mountains in Villa Monumental de La Orotava.

The hotel is in a wonderful location in this historical city. The staff were incredibly friendly. Everything was clean and lent itself to the theme of the town… Historical. The value for what we spent on the room was incredible. It's the best hotel we've stayed in so far in the Canary Islands. we do not do resorts. We do places like this. We've stayed in seven other places so far on this trip. This was the best!
And don't miss the view from the rooftop terrace… Incredible!
The Parador de las Cañadas del Teide features an unbeatable location, next to a volcano in the stunning Teide National Park that covers the center of the island of Tenerife.

Obviously the location was stunning. The staff were helpful and fun. I really loved the swimming pool - had it all to myself.
Boasting beautiful original décor, this charming hotel is centrally set in the oldest villa in the town of Orotava, surrounded by mountain scenery.

The property was great. Very welcoming staff. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but they still reserved a table for us.
The room was stunning. High ceilings, antique furnishings, and extremely comfortable bedding and mattress.

A historical town with character.
A historical town with character. Has a lot of good architecture and period villas. Walking around the city gets you back to 18th, 19th century.
If you appreciate historic towns this one should not be skipped.
Bonus: La Orotava is one of the 3 access points to mount Teide so if you plan to go up towards the mountain it's a good place to set a base at.

This little city is just a little gem: beautiful overall, colonial style architecture, well preserved, magnificent gardens, far from the noisy mass tourism, elegant, full of flowers, amazing vue. I've visited the city many times last year and with Puerto de la Cruz, I think is by far the nicest area on the island. I left in the early morning and I could smell the flowers fragances everywhere on the air.

Lovely old town from which to venture out across the north and northeast/northwest of the island. Visited in November and the climate was lovely for eating out in the various plazas and gardens of the town at night. Everything is on a slope so not ideal for the infirm but we felt safe and had no issues navigating about the city centre.

It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park.
It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park. Nice historic town - old grand houses / a good museum / a couple of gardens of interest, good views of the cost, a few good restaurants and a fun bar at the town centre / main square .. We ate at Dabeke a bit out of town but very good food and at Sabot Canario which was OK (limited menu but recommend the rabbit stew )... Gastro Lercaro looked very good but unfortunately it wasn't open for dinner while we were there ....

It is misleading to describe the Parador de Cañadas del...
It is misleading to describe the Parador de Cañadas del Teide as "La Orotava". Although administratively correct (the hotel belongs to the La Orotava municipality) La Orotava is a small, very nice, city, certainly worth visiting, but the hotel is where it should be: in the middle of the national park, dozens of kilometers from the city.
At the city: take a long, leasurely walk; enjoy the architecture, the pubs, the parks, the view, the food.
At the hotel: be prepared for good hikes -smaller ones also available; study the paths beforehand and walk, walk, walk!
This house is cosy an just good enough for 2 persons. A lovely terrace with sea view. It was well equipped and everything was working. Close to the house is a very good restaurant. You can reach the beach by descending a path next to the banana trees (at this time this beach was closed due to safety reasons). You can hike right from the house to Puerto de la Cruz and la Orotava is nearby. Overall: an excellent spot to explore the north east, north west
Mary was an excellent host! She provided everything we needed for our beautiful studio apartment and the info she gave us for sights and restaurant recommendations were perfect. The studio is in the heart of Orotava, within walking distance of all major locations. We highly recommend it and we would definitely stay again if we ever return to Tenerife. Such a beautiful island and a fantastic apartment! Thank you, Mary!
Vicky is welcoming, friendly and communication was easy with her. The apartment is very spacious and ultra clean! It is also well equipped. The beds are comfortable. A parking place in a garage is included, fortunately because it is quite difficult to find a place in the streets around.
The location is perfect: close to the highway to move everywhere by car and close to the center of La Orotava by walk.
Very nice apartment, beautiful gardens, excellent swimming pool. The photos of the apartment didn't do it justice. Very good location just off motorway between La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz but still very quiet. Can see the ocean in one direction and Pico Teide in the other (visibility permitting). Restaurants within walking distance and supermarkets less than 10 minutes drive away.
The lovely, friendly staff worked incredibly hard to look after all the guests. A warm welcome and great local information provided. A beautiful hotel with so much history and character. Superb breakfast. Wonderful location a short walk from the centre but very quiet. Roof terrace to watch sunsets and stars. Rooms with character and everything you need.
PRO'S:
The location of the house is good, close to La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz. The view from the outdoor space are beautiful and very relaxing.
There are two free parking outside the house and the check-in/ check-out have been flexibile and easy.
At a glance the open kitchen and living room looks like traditional canarian country house.
Receptionist guy is very friendly and direct, he gave excellent tips regarding available programs around. Location of the hotel is nice, breakfast is tasty, view from the roof terrace is nice, room unlocking via app went flawless, hot water was steady and available, wifi is stable.
Check in and check out is flexible and smooth.
This apartment is very spacious and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views out of the large windows are amazing. Located in the heart of town with ample, easy parking right up the street. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this property for your visit to Tenerife.
Flat was very clean and had everything you need (many utensils).
Each apartment has own parking space.
You can use swimming pool anytime and the garden around the hotel is pretty relaxing.
It is located in the suburbs of the town, in quiet area, so you need to drive to the older part or walk a bit.
Comfortable bed, great kitchen with all basic amenities, helpful stay who provided great recommendations and was prompt to respond. Terrific location relative to hiking address and other places to explore nearby. Close to groceries and walking distance to botanical garden, la Orotava, and more.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Beatriz. The location was perfect and La Orotava was the nicest town. We would go back without any hesitation. Beatriz was very welcoming and very helpful. The house very well appointed and clean. We were a group of 4 and we all enjoyed our stay very much.
We have had some wonderful days in the Atico. The apartment is very light and spacious, with all the amenities we needed. The host, Juanito, has been very helpful and attentive. Our best recommendations for a stay in La Orotava! We will be back…
Big terrace with view over La Orotava and the sea. Located in the center but very quiet. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing! He even gave me a little cake for my bday. Good Covid protection measures.
The property is in a perfect location for exploring La Orotava, the hosts are excellent, Yves very good & informative
The apartment is SO QUIET and tranquil a real haven.
Will definitely return
Friendly welcoming, Manfred is a fantastic host, he gave us all the information needed to visit La Orotava. Great atmosphere in Hostel Tenerife. Beautiful views from the terrace.
Hotel Alhambra is an absolutely beautiful accommodation! The building itself is fascinating, and the owner has decorated it with pieces of art and stunning period furniture.
Breakfast was not buffet, but it was very good. Very good location in La Orotava, a few minutes from the bus station. Quiet, comfortable and beautiful place.
