Platis Yialos is a very nice beach.
Platis Yialos is a very nice beach. There is a charge for the use of the sunbeds which is quite expensive. There is a good beach bar called Yialo Yialo. They serve good food and the staff are very nice in there. Do not go to the DK Oyster bar, this is the bar with the black umbrella's outside on the beach. They have a terrible reputation for ripping people off, sometimes for 100's of Euros. This happened to me a number of years ago and happened to another resident in our hotel this year. The beach is well organised, with many restaurant options. There’s a 5 stars hotel, with a beach bar called Branco, which was really good. I’d say that 85% of the beach is covered by the sun beds for rental. The remaining part is public, so people can lay down on the sand on their own towels. The water is beautiful, clean, and transparent. However, a bit cold in October.

Amazing sea views, sunsets, and a 2 min walk to the prettiest beach in Mykonos.. the water is so clear and blue, the sand is so soft compared to many other beaches we visited. Walking distance to Scorpios and Branco!! The staff and owners are so accommodating and made us feel like family. We had our own private Villa with a plunge pool and sea views. When you walk in, it has some pretty flowers along with some mirrors that give the hotel a fun a cute vibe. The pool area has a bar that plays music that gives the pool area a relaxing feel. The staff was very friendly, and the owner provided some excellent tips for our stay. The property is also located near a fabulous restaurant (Nikos Gallop), a convenient store, bus stop, and within walking distance to the boat taxi and a couple of beach clubs too!

We had a lovely room and the location was perfect, just a five minute stroll to the beach and restaurants of Platis Gialos. They collected us from the airport as part of our stay and drove us back when returning home. The breakfast was lovely, and you could have as much as you wanted from a wonderful selection. If you are staying in Mykonos, this was great value for money, amazing location and the staff are a credit to this family run hotel.

The beach at the bottom of the little hill is less than 2 minutes walk away and is stunning with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The room itself was well above our expectations and exceptionally clean! The pool areas were nice as you have two options and the gym has everything you need.
