Private rooms, with a view, at 23euros, which was real plus! I was able to borrow a bike, a pretty basic one but it made getting around town and to distant locales much easier. However, don't rely on this as it's not a guaranteed perk. Just rent one in town. Dinner can be added for an extra 12 euros and the chef is terrific. The fish dishes were outstanding. If you like cats, they're super cute! Really nice historic, palatial, former convent or monastery atop a hill in a historic residential area.

The place is simply amazing! The rooms are ok, but the overall vibe exceeded my expectations. Huge public areas, the building itself deserved 10 points, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, everything clean and comfy (do not expect amenities of a 5 star hotel, though, and it'll be fine!), quiet and relaxing.

I loved the laidback, retro vibe!!! This place is truly a nonprofit organization. It’s nice to find a place that strives to fulfill its mission of sustainability. All the table scraps from the delicious breakfast are recycled, composted and used in the gardens and to feed the chickens that live in the HUGE surrounding gardens and orchard. There are so many things I loved about the staff and the place, but I think it comes down to this. It’s not about the money!!!

for me- a 50 year old hostel traveler- this location was perfect. it’s a retreat in itself and I love having a small room to myself. maybe it was just my visit but people here were “older” 30’s and up and family oriented. So no loud parties and music til 2:30am. the staff are wonderful and the faculties is so large including the grounds. I could spend a day here alone as a personal retreat. I’ll stay again. The bud to beaches is infrequent but the price is low… just consider that access. The town is charming and safe.

very basic breakfast, absolutely no frills...but good to have a coffee, toast and cold cuts etc, before heading off for the day, rooms small as to be expected as was a monastery before, gardens are expansive with grass and trees and interesting nooks and crannies to sit and read a book or have a drink in public spaces or semi-private spaces...very pleasant...staff was very helpful and informative, bathrooms very clean and new, the rooms also spartan but clean. the breakfast room is correct but again, no-frills. Very quiet space and have equipment for beach goers as well as toys and games for children.
