We loved the architectural design which used rusted steel to wrap the brick building. The hotel is on an archeological site, so it's an interesting location. From the public parking at the southwest below the parador, there are trails you can walk along the ridge. It was a good breakfast with lots of variety. It's also easy to drive up to the Parador and there's lots of free parking.

This charming hotel is set in the grounds of Lorca Castle on an archaeological site featuring ruins dating back to the 10th century. It features a spa, free indoor pool and views of the town. The bright rooms at Parador de Lorca feature soft lighting and elegant décor. All include free Wi-Fi, scenic views, a mini-bar, safe, plasma satellite TV and a private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is served daily and the hotel’s restaurant serves traditional, regional cuisine made with local produce and served with fine wines. The hotel also has a bar and room service is available. Lorca Castle was named a Monument of Cultural Interest in 1931 and remains include 10th century Islamic buildings, a synagogue and ancient walls. Entrance tickets for the arqueological site can be purchased onsite. The Parador offers free parking and is 35 minutes’ drive from Águilas and its beaches. Murcia is 50 minutes’ drive away.
