This was one of my favourite stays worldwide! The facilities are well maintained and better than what the pictures show. The restaurant serves a great breakfast with a view of the volcano and bird watching, the shared area has a nice pool table, and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. I had some of the best sleep of my life here. The cherry on top, however, was the helpful and caring staff all around. John and Luis at the reception were particularly helpful with any requests and even managed to snag us some discounts with nearby activity operators! This is one stay where we regretted not staying for longer and didn't want to leave.

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal... The views and the staff where fantastic. The location of the resort is amazing, quiet and right beside the volcano, right in a rain/cloud forest. Beautiful walks and hikes and they can arrange events if you like.

As you ate a delicious breakfast, you not only had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere that included seeing so many types of birds (including a toucan) feasting on bananas. In the evening, a frog tour that entailed a leisure walk around the beautiful property. So many birds and so many frogs!

Jay and Nohelia were amazing - we couldn't have asked for more. They cooked incredible food in the morning for breakfast which you can eat whilst watching the wildlife and there is also the option to eat in the evening. They gave us brilliant recommendations to see things in the area and were genuinely one of the nicest couples & hosts we have ever met! The location is a bit off road so bring a 4x4 but once you are there, it's peaceful and beautiful. The room we had was well equipped and clean. 100% would recommend!!

Boasting an outdoor pool and a hot tub, La Finca Lodge is located in Fortuna, 35 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. Complimentary WiFi is available. Staff was amazing and very welcoming. They adjusted to our schedule and also offer various services that facilitate your stay.

Finca Amistad Cacao Lodge býður upp á 60 hektara af Cocoa-bóndabæ og gestir geta farið í skoðunarferðir, súkkulaðiferðir og fuglaskoðun. Gistirýmið er með setusvæði. This is a forest hut lodge indeed, on the cacao farm. Pictures reflect it well. What is not seen on the pics is the spotless cleanness and the hospitability. Huts are modern and well equipped. Fine chocolate drinks, good brekky. Recommended.
