The apartment is extremely well located, being a short (5-7 min average) walk directly to the beach, door to door, with airconditioning built in throughout the entire space. It is on the 1st floor above a small but well-stocked supermarket (Dia), and opposite or a very short distance away from numerous restaurants and bars, accessible by stairs or a lift. It comes with underground parking, which is helpful if you are driving/have rented a car, but only need it for occasional journeys so you know it is safe. The apartment itself is very spacious - we didn't need to use the sofabed but with this, the apartment sleeps 6 comfortably, and there are 2 bathrooms. Our host had left us some pods for the coffee machine, also some cleaning items and washing machine pods (these came in very handy). There is an inner courtyard space for drying wet things from the beach (as we did during our stay), and a little outdoor dining space on the balcony.
We found the beds very comfortable - I often find it hard to sleep due to poor mattresses but the beds here are definitely good quality - and of course, the apartment is fitted throughout with window shutter blinds to block out sunlight.
Our host, Luis, was quick to respond to any queries (when organising the arrangements for our arrival, or when a leak occurred unexpectedly in the kitchen). We had a very enjoyable stay (visiting family nearby) and would definitely return.

Excellent location, easy walk to the supermarket, the beach and into town. Luis the owner dealt with a problem we had with the keys (our fault) with no hassle whatsoever. We have stayed at the apartment twice now and would definitely book again.

It is an attractive resort with a great castle (the walk up is difficult and not recommended for those with mobility issues) and pleasant port and central area. I visited in low season (March) so it was quiet although all the bars and restaurants were open. There are only a few things to see or do in the town but the promenade walks are lovely with great views, The coastline is interesting for drives, best places nearby are the Castle at San juan de los Terreros and the odd beach at Los Cocedores.
All the usual Spanish supermarkets are in the town but the one hypermarket Carrefour is below standard compared to others in Spain, and the attached mall is awful with virtually all the shops seemingly closed down and only one small cafe. Outside of the mall there are a Burger King and Popeyes, both really terrible and best avoided. There is an excellent Indian restaurant in San Juan de los Terroros (Tandoori Palace) just a few km south.

Walking lots of it, the marinas, "electric bikes and scooters everywhere". Ate at the El Paso Bar just along from the hotel a lovely evening meal.
It is a working city and very busy but lots of shops were closed down permanently, and the roads are mostly one way systems

Águilas is a city I never visited before but loved to visit in Spain. On my stay I discovered that they beaches are very close and easy to locate and the water is clean. The supermarkets and shopping centre’s are very easy to connect and visitors are very busy enjoying themselves and it is also a very good place for the children. My staying was very short because I have to work

It was a busy town with lots of shops. Nice square called Plaza de Espana for drinks and tapas. Lots of little restaurants along the beach front which is where we ate daily. Went to one Chinese restaurant near the beach but would not really recommend it. Found it difficult other than the beach front to find somewhere to eat in the evening. Seemed to stop serving meals early!!

Aquilas is a fine coastal resort which seems to have attracted Spanish Tourists more than English speaking ones, It has a fine promenade which in September 2021 was very quiet and ideal for walking or cycling. There are ample restaurants along the way from the Hotel at Juan Montial to the Eagle's Head and the port is worth a visit , though it seems to be the anchorage for a poor man's boat. The walk up St Juan's Hill is a test of stamina but the view from the top makes it worthwhile , There is a restaurant at the top for refreshments , check the opening hours . The shopping centre at the Northern end of the Town has a Carrefours but most of the other shops have been savaged by the Pandemic and the absence of footfall .

The beaches, and the immediate couple of roads along the beach front are fine, but it lacks choice of bars/restaurants. The main attractions are the range of water sports offered such as diving, boat hire etc. The walk up to the viewing point is very nice and well done ie proper walking surface and small walls. Half of the beach road is lined by blocks of flats, mixed residential and visitors. The main problem I had was that there was little choice of dining for vegetarians, but luckily, there are 2 Indian restaurants, both offering take-away and one of them (Delhi Tandoori) was tucked behind the front road, so I used it twice. That was ok as I stayed for only 4 nights. There are also 2 or 3 Chinese restaurants/takeaways, but unfortunately I cannot walk very far especially up hills. I think staying longer would be rather boring unless you are keen on sea-activities, or you just like to enjoy the beach. On my next venture I would try to avoid views from the windows of blocks of flats.
The property is very well located right in the center of Aguilas, 2 minutes walk from Plaza de Espana and around 5 minutes to the beach. The studio is cozy and has everything you need. There’s no cooking facilities apart from the use of the microwave but is ok, it only requires a bit more planning. I was going to stay only for 6 nights but I ended up staying for 14 and I did fine. I was very grateful to the host for allowing me to check in well before the time stipulated. Communication was always great too.
On arrival in Aguilas, I called Andrea and she met us at the entrance to the apartments, she explained about parking in the underground car park and our parking bay number, then she showed us to the apartment. The apartment was larger than expected, bright and fresh, every detail was taken care off for us. We had a lovely few days and easy walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. will certainly be going back
Great location very near main square in Aguilas. Right next to a pizzeria. Super comfortable 3 bed apartment. All amenities you could need.
Very personal furnishings, a bit like staying in a friend's house.
Jeff was very accomodating with our last minute booking.
Highly recommend.
The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a big comfortable bed and the shower was great. The hotel is on a busy street but with the windows closed and the air conditioner on it is very quiet for sleeping. Makes for great people watching.
I have been staying here on and off for many years, almost since it opened as the Don Juan Hotel. At that time, it was noted for a great buffet breakfast and lunch, but that has all gone and the breakfast could best be described as 'miserable.'
It was really nice to stay in Apartamentos Arcos Centrico in Aguilas. We were welcomed really kind and also given some recommamdazions on where to go. The apartment was cozy and had everything you would need.
We enjoyed it a lot. :)
Hosts were waiting for us when we arrived. Introduced us to the apartment, which was very well equipped. It is quiet just across from not busy bus station and train station. Glass panes were double glazed facing the hills.
Wonderful stay at a hotel I always remember seeing around town. Comfy, clean rooms with fantastic facilities - everything you could need. And Fabulous helpful friendly staff. It was a pleasure to stay at Hotel Carlos III.
Very nice host, quiet location, parking, fully equipped kitchen, lot of space, great view, close to the sea. The flat for a reasonable price. Aguilas is a wonderful place to stay, we loved this city!
I'd come back!
Staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean but basic. Situated quite close to the sea front. A continental type breakfast which was ample. Free parking outside the hotel when spaces are available.
The hotel was lovely, right on the beach and comfortable rooms, it would have been nice to have been informed that the restaurant was not open on the evening we stayed before our arrival.
A beautiful hotel which has good food and a lot to offer. Extraordinary nice and professional staff - would like to come back and arrange a conference or event here sometimes!
