Super easy to stay with kids. Staff were very acabo and friendly. The slide on the swimming pool was a hit and so easy that kids can go by themselves again and again while you’re just chilling. Would definitely come back.

Very quiet location, good for us but maybe not if you like some night life as we didn’t find anything. Maybe just because it was early in the year. Lots of sun beds available, spa was nice. All staff were very polite.

Liked the fact it was a very Spanish resort (didn’t see any other tourists). It was very windy and rather chilly near the seafront which we were not expecting in mid May.
Harbour and castle worth visiting.
Beach front was hit and miss with places to eat and drink e.g some seemed very expensive , some full of kids, Some fully booked up.
Found a nice Italian in the end just before harbour. Harbour bar good too.

The area where the hotel was situated is set up for tourists with most of the facilities one could ask for. If one was prepared to travel down to the marina and port, there one can experience to local ambiance and enjoy a more Spanish atmosphere. Having my own car made life easy, if you hire a car make sure it has sat at or you have Waze or Google on your phone. The Castillo de Santa Anna by the port is worth a visit. Also well worthwhile is a visit to the film sets where a lot of the Spaghetti Westerns were made.

We drove to the beach from our apartment on our way back home, as we had visited Roquetas de Mar for a music concert . We took a long walk along the sea front, it seemed a really nice place to visit lots going on and to do but probably worth staying in one of the many hotels or apartments near to the beach front.

As we travelled out of the summer season it seemed quiet but felt safe and seems family friendly. It is very much a traditional feel of Spain, doesn't feel like a tourist den which is nice. English is not widely spoken but that just adds to the authentic Spanish experience. Learning a few key basic words in Spanish would be a good idea, such as greetings etc.

This is probably the best rated hotel in the area and is a good quality mid-size hotel. We paid a premium for a larger room with sea view, which seemed good value. Drinks were cheap, with cocktails for less than 7 Euro each. The room was great but there is little external sound insulation which meant we heard the poolside entertainment whether we wanted to or not. The beach outside is good, and stretches for miles but the surrounding area is not pretty due to the thousands of hectares of agricultural land covered with makeshift plastic greenhouses. There are some great bars and restaurants on the beach and in the town with very tasty and affordable tapas.

Everything was great. Checking in easy, staff very friendly. Room was upgraded to sea view which was lovely. We had half board plenty of choice and very enjoyable. We were only there for 3 days but used the spa twice which is very good value for money. Will recommend to others. We have visited before and prefer the Sabinal to the other Best hotel in the resort.
As we only live 1.5 hours away will visit again. Already looking forward to it.
Not much to be honest. The staff were friendly and helpful though - we were also grateful for the Gratuity drinks for making us wait at check in and the bottle of fizz that seems standard for first time guests. Sadly this didn’t make up for our disappointment at the expense of such a disappointing place. Partly my mistake for booking such a large hotel in peak season, but the photos do not show the reality. It felt like a tired hotel.
Although we had not stayed there previously we knew the hotel very well. Great location for beach and other amenities. We booked for 5 days following 5 weeks elsewhere. Would not have liked to have spent 6 weeks there as the cooking and TV facilities are not great.
Cleaning team were friendly and did an excellent job.
This apartment is a nice comfortable size for a family. Everything that was needed was there. The owner is helpful and available. There's a huge patio overlooking the city and sea/ mountain view.
The area is not a far drive from the beach. The market is fun to do on Thursday.
Everything in the appartament was clean and comfortable. Great location , near the beach, shops, restaurants, bus stop. The neighborhood very calm and safety. The host very helpful and flexible.
The hotel is nice. Needs a bit of work on the outside but rooms are updated enough. It’s a hard hotel to rate as the kids area and pool area was great but there is something missing
Reading some reviews we was dubious but can not recommend this hotel enough and cannot wait to return!! Marta on reception went above and beyond :-) very friendly
We like the location of Bahia Serena, having been before. It is good to be able to go straight out for a walk. Spar supermarket over the road, is well stocked.
