Easy & SAFE walking distance to all restaurants, shops, beach, bars & some nightlife. It is slightly more expensive to eat on the beachfront, compared to some restaurants down the side roads. Plenty of choices. There was an AWESOME sushi buffet restaurant, called Yamasato, not too expensive & with a good variety of dishes besides sushi. Not all waitrons spoke English but there was 1. Downside of Castelldefels, easy access to Barcelona but an hour bus ride cost 5 EURO 1-way. It was cheaper to stay in this area compared to Barcelona

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel. When I arrived at 5:30 pm for check-in, the hotel was closed. I called the hotel and was met with aggression over the phone. When the staff finally arrived, I paid and was waiting for my room. During this time, another existing guest came in, and the staff member completely ignored me, leaving me hanging for several minutes while he chatted with the other guest. This lack of professionalism and respect was infuriating. To make matters worse, I was not given a receipt for my payment nor was I provided with the Wi-Fi password. I forgot to ask upon arrival, likely because I was intimidated by the staff's rude and unprofessional behavior. Later, I sent a WhatsApp message requesting the Wi-Fi password, but I never received a response until after I had already left the hotel the next morning. When I informed the hotel that I would write a review about their non-existent services and unprofessional conduct, they canceled my reservation without any valid reason, preventing me from leaving a review on their booking platform. Additionally, the room was nothing like the pictures on the booking site. It was a complete misrepresentation and added to the overall disappointment of my stay. Overall, my stay was ruined by the staff's aggressive, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior, as well as the misleading room photos. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

we like to travel with public transportation and Castelldefels is very well connectec to Barcenlona with Renfe trains - once you find out which ones to use it is really comfortable and fast. The location may not be for those looking for a tourist area...
The location may not be for those looking for a tourist area as this is a residential Spanish area away from the beach. The beach and town are 30 mins or so apart, but there is a regular bus service running each day. The town area is near the train station, consisting of one area in particular offering cafes and areas to sit out and relax in the day, or enjoy the Spanish family hustle and bustle after 9:30pm. There is a shopping mall 10mins away from the centre on the way to the beach and water park.

The long sandy beach is superb and the water is warm! This little town has a lot to offer/ good small bars and some great places to eat . Easy train travel to Barcelona although this time we stayed in the town. We were welcomed as tourists and we rate v highly the Gran Hotel Rey Don Jamie. A little out of town but secluded and perfect for us. Excellent breakfast . Rooms clean . Style is dated but did not bother us at all as we loved its rustic charm. For this reason, with the recommendation of a friend, we chose to stay in Castelldefels and go to Barcelona by train. Castelldefels has been a great find for us. We will definitely come there in the next holidays, we loved the beach. Especially for windsurfing. The location of the hotel is very close to the train station and very easy to get to and from Barcelona! The hotel breakfast and staff were great. Definitely recommended!
