Offering 13 restaurants, cafes and bars and a 24-hour front desk, Kobe Portopia Hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Shimin Hiroba Station on the Port Island Line. The room was very spacious and had a really nice view. The location was very convenient for me, as it was close to place that I was going to visit, but for the general public I would say there is not much around. However, the tram station is just a couple of blocks away and connects the hotel with the city centre and the airport very efficiently.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Headwaiter Daiki Honda served us a superb Kobe beef Teppanyaki dinner. The floor manager was super helpful in running out in the rain to get us a taxi cab to the train station. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.
