Comfy hotel with friendly staff. Although it had been decorated well, some of the details were a little tired - scratched walls, etc - but generally it was nice. The area was ok and it was walkable to old town, but it wasn't my favourite area of Bilbao that I've stayed in.
This charming, Basque farmhouse has been carefully converted into an attractive, rural hotel, enjoying stunning panoramic views over the regional capital of Bilbao.

Absolutely fabulous city.
Absolutely fabulous city. Spectacular food, people are so friendly and helpful and the city itself easy to get around (get the barik card) and with so much to see.
We ate in pintxo bars in Plaza Nueva numerous times. We also popped into cafes, had lunch in Las Cepas close to the Guggenheim (menu del día €15). I had dinner with a group in a Txoco (fabulous experience).
The metro was fabulous and runs all night on a Saturday. We also got a taxi to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe (€60 between 4 of us). No tix required on Monday to access the site although the church was closed. There's a restaurant by the car park with great food and views. We then called a taxi to take us to Bermeo (there is a bus but every 2 hours). This cost another €20. Bermeo is a pretty fishing town. We got the train back to Bilbao using the barik card - in total it cost 4 of us about €5 to return on the train.
Highly recommend the funicular to Artxanda (great views) and generally explore the city. It can be chilly so be prepared to wrap up.
I wish I had discovered Bilbao years ago but so glad I have now. I'll definitely return.

A wonderful city to visit, which offers everything you’d ever desired to do, from cultural to sports activities, and the food is absolutely amazing. I would recommend “Cork” for a 360 degrees deep dive into the local food and wine or beer, worth at least one visit. Another place called “Mugi” had the best Secreto Iberico and Presa Iberica. The vibe is wonderful. Great ham and cheese selection in one of the old town’s shop, good prices. Beautiful shops all around the whole town. A wonderful holiday.

Bilbao is easy to get around.
Bilbao is easy to get around. We used the metro and the tram quite a lot. The Barik card makes public transport much cheaper and it’s really easy to use.
Lots of churches, bars, cafes and restaurants. The people are really friendly and I managed to get by with my very limited Spanish!
We loved Bilbao and I think 3 or 4 days would keep you busy. We liked the Guggenheim as it’s a bit different. The fine arts museum (free) is worth seeing as well. The highlight for us was the Vizcaya bridge which was amazing, I’ve never seen anything like it! Walk across the top and get the gondola back.
Plaza Nueva had lots of bars and restaurants with great food but it does get really busy. A great place to try the Pintxtos is the indoor market which lots of the locals also use.

A good base for day trips to San Sebastián/Donastia to the east (a city of beauty, elegance and tourist-friendly amenities), Santander and Santillana Del Mar to the west. Bilbao is a quite pleasant city as well especially the riverbank area.
The rooms were comfortable; , the rooftop breakfast was top quality with a view of the Guggenheim! My daughter was hospitalized in the early morning hours of the one night of our stay & the staff helped make EVERYTHING easy and so helpful for the two of us who speak only English (from the states). We needed to stay on an extra night so my daughter could rest and they were 100% accommodating on short notice. It made an unplanned not so easy moment turn into a very comfortable one. Thank you all at the Gran Hotel Domine Bibao!!!
Bilder Boutique Hotel is a very nice small hotel with sleek modern design and furnishings including plumbing and AC and so on, retrofitted into an old building shell at the edge of Bilbao’s “Casco Viejo” (Old Quarter ). THE main plus about the hotel is it’s absolutely location right where the old quarter begins, but not on the noisy main access street just steps away , nor on one of the noisy bustling squares or intersections. So it is peaceful. Main landmarks and areas of interest are all within a 15 minute walk.
The place is ok, is in a nice area in Bilbao, like 20 minutos walking to the old town and as well 25 minutes walking to reach Guggenheim, it has some nice bars and restaurants around if you want to have your breakfast there, If you come with a car you have a parking in the hotel and as well a free parking streets 15 min walking distance, we park there and as Bilbao is a safe city we brought our car there for 3 nights, 0 problems.
The rooms are ok, confortable mattress same for the pillow.
We had a lovely stay in Bilbao! The hotel is in a great location, super close to the Guggenheim. Only 10 min walk from the bus stop from the airport, which was really easy to find. Easily walkable to the old town and restaurants with the amazing pintxos!!!
The staff were really helpful and friendly.
The room was super clean, with blackout blinds and was really
quiet for a good night's sleep! Would definitely recommend!
A pleasant hotel in the new city centre, on the main street of Bilbao. The hotel has an excellent location, within walking distance of the Guggenheim Museum and the Museo de Bellas Artes. Availability of various types of pintxos bars in the nearby area. Walking distance to the Old Town. The room was spacious enough, equipped with a coffee maker. Very good breakfast. Extremely professional and helpful reception staff.
We loved Bilder Boutique Hotel, where we stayed 7 nights on our trip to Bilbao. The Hotel is located on a great site, close to train and bus station and the old town and the bridges, all in a walkable distance. The room was excellent, recently renovated, the stuff was very friendly and we could communicate in English with all of them. We will visit Bilbao again and choose to stay in Bilder Boutique Hotel!
The hotel was in the perfect location for exploring Bilbao. There was a tram stop just around the corner and the main train and subway station were just a short walk away. There were lots of restaurants and lovely boutique shops in the immediate area.
The room was beautiful and had everything I needed and I found the staff very helpful and friendly.
Very spacious, spotless apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a hall, sitting room and fully equipped kitchen. A perfect base for family or group of friends to explore the Basque country of northern Spain. The best part is the location; right at the heart of the old town, opposite the Ribera Market and church of San Anton.
comfortable, clean, stylish and centrally located hotel (very near Guggenheim museum). Very helpful reception staff. we travelled with a toddler and the hotel provided us with a comfortable and stable cot, which came with a cuddly toy and a baby bath. nice breakfast. we will choose it again when in Bilbao next time.
Perfect location on the border of Casco viejo and Abando, walking distance of most of Bilbaos treasures.
Very comfortable and clean rooms, great amenities such as coffee machine in the room, fantastic towels, dead sea toilettries and more.
Staff very nice and helpful.
Just the hotel you would want to stay at
Great friendly staff, excellent location (walkable to Guggenheim, waterfront, and Old Town), spacious and clean room, comfy king-size bed, eco-friendly TP, daily in-room fresh water bottle (glass, not wasteful plastic) and tea. This cute, boutique hotel should be rated higher than 2 stars.
The hotel is in a very good location close to Gugenheim museum and old town - everything in walking distance. The staff was very firendly, attentive and supportive. The room was very clean though pretty small. Nevertheless, it was okey to stay for few days.
Staff were extra hospitable: helping with the car elevator to garage, with suggesting great tapas eatery for our last night in Spain, and we were only steps from the Guggenheim. Our room was riverside and it was lovely to see rowers, other boats.
Location in the old town of Bilbao. Has a taberna right by the hotel entrance and lots of bars/restaurants close by.
Comfortable and clean, with towels and mini shower gel provided
Indoor balcony area in room
Lift available
Very comfortable hotel with excellent friendly staff. Room clean, quiet. Excellent location to explore the main sights in Bilbao.
Very good breakfast ont he 6th floor
Amazig hotel with great architecture and design, great location near Guggenheim Museum ( 5 minute walk) and a great park. Delicious and lot of variety at the breakfast!
Great hotel on the fringes of the old centre of Bilbao. Close to the bars and nightlife of the old town and easy access to the great shops that Bilbao has to offer.
"My" hotel in Bilbao. 24/7 friendly, helpful reception, good location and not above a square, cafe or other places where noise is more than the usual city level.
