Located in the central square of Ainsa, you have easy access to everything in this charming medieval village.
You can unpack your car right outside the hotel, then drive it a short distance to the public car park. It's very picturesque. The hotel is small, and quite compact, so don't expect a large , luxury room, but comfortable with a modest breakfast downstairs.

The mountain views are very nice. The reality of what you find when you´re finally up there is more impresive than what you see in the booking pictures.

Nice rooms, very clean, good restaurant, helpful and friendly staff, great price.
Boltana old town up the hill was lovely. The new town at bottom of hill was good. We were travelling through the pyrenees, this was a one night stay but sure there could be much more close that would make a longer stay worthwhile.

Self-checkin worked well received text message instructions all good. The room was clean, the bathroom also and a good working shower. Location brilliant write in the heart of the old town with two bars on your doorstep and lovely restaurants near by.
Parking a bit of an issue, probably depends on what time of year you stay. First night had to park at bottom of road and then had to drive around the old town to get back to front of house. Otherwise fantastic value for money.

The Monasterio Barcelo added 10% to our accommodation and meal charges and 21% to our Spa use fees. This amounted to over 65 euros extra to our bill for a two night stay, and we couldn’t even get a table at the restaurant. Parking charges are outrageous as the hotel is on the edge of a small village in the middle of the countryside.

Beautiful building and surroundings.
Beautiful building and surroundings. The room was luxurious with big bed and lots of space. Cooked breakfast available and good with fresh orange juice. Loved the outdoor cafe. Very friendly staff and service
We ate dinner at the two nearest restaurants (walking distance) and food was excellent
Really nice historic town. Nice restaurants & bars. Great place to stay for a couple of days. Casa Coronel is a great restaurant - best meal I had during the whole holiday, and great value.
Tough climb up the hill to the old castle - but great views of the town and surrounding area. Don't follow Google to get through the narrow roads in the old town.
Large modern hotel built around an old monastery. Good impression when we drove into the car park seeing a line-up of expensive cars - Ferraris, McLarens and more. Big grounds with an outdoor swimming pool. Room was comfortable (even with the wrong bed, see later). Lots of original art around hotel and in rooms, nice touch.
The best hotel breakfast we found in all our tour around northern Spain. They even provide teapots for your morning tea.
This is a very imposing hotel which looks lovely both outside and in . We were lucky to be there in September as I would think it is not that pleasant in high season as it is a very large establishment. The rooms are fine - bed very comfortable and shower very good. Breakfast was very good also with plenty of choice. The outside pool was lovely . Reception staff very welcoming and helpful .
Well located for touring a beautiful part of Spain. This hotel has been completely refurbished. The superior double room has
a balcony, a 6 foot bed and is very well appointed, with excellent bath and shower facilities. The breakfast had a large choice
of food. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
All in all very comfortable indeed. Would I stay again? Most definitely.
The location is spectacular and the hotel was lovely. The sound of the rushing river below our room added to the experience. We were hesitant about having dinner there because the hotel is so big, but our dinner was excellent and so was the breakfast. Ainsa, which is about 6 kilometers away, is a charming village with a beautiful small church. Worth a visit.
We had the most amazing honeymoon. The staff was very friendly and super helpful, the room large and comfortable, the pool was great and the spa was super relaxing. In the area are plenty of amazing hiking spots and quaint little villages. We also highly recommend going for half board. The breakfast was very nice and dinner was exceptional.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. A converted monastery that has been sympathetically converted into a modern hotel with a luxury feel. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bed was a very good size. All of the public areas were clean and inviting. It was lovely to sit outside in the evening for a drink and an informal meal.
- great location in the Pyrenees
- bathing place in the river close to the hotel
- staff was very friendly
- extraordinary clean
- really quiet at night
- air conditioning in the room
- room even had balcony and bathtub
- good breakfast for a decent price
- stay was pretty much affordable in general
The breakfast was excellent, comparable to Parador breakfasts. The host of the breakfast meal was Magnolia and she is the most exceptional host I have ever encountered at an hotel.: professional. warm, effervescent, kind to her staff and visitors.
It's in a great location, the monastery is gorgeous, and has classy interior design. The room was comfy, good breakfast. The spa is decent, but small and overpriced. Great massages, but overpriced as well. The staff was mostly friendly.
we arrived late because of the N260 being closed we did not arrive until 20:00 hrs , but arrangements had been made for us to enter the Hotel. soon after arriving the young lady in charge arrived, and helped us to settle in
Beautiful location, easy to find. A nice change from big hotels. Friendly owner who made contact with directions and even booked us a table at a local restaurant which was superb. Highly recommend a stay here ☺️
compact comfortable room, wide window for fresh air and a clean bathroom, pizza restaurant is a welcome addition to the hotel, simple breakfast for small charge it good value
