Clean, comfortable and perfect for an overnight stop on the Camino. Good recommendations for visitors and the room was very quiet as well as being spotlessly clean.

Out in middle of the countryside, great rest on a long journey beautiful farmhouse !

A quiet huge hotel, full of atmosphere, courtyards, sitting rooms, chapels, lovely worn old wooden floors ( shuffling monks feet?), huge doors, shutters, airy corridors and bedrooms . A well converted monastery which has not lost any of its monastic charm.
The restaurant was spectacular. We had the most delicious dinner and a very good bottle of local wine.
Finding the hotel was easy and a short stroll across the bridge into the town where groups of pilgrims enlivened the very empty quiet streets.
A very good place to stop off enroute to the Santander or Bilbao ferry.

The building and its atmosphere makes the hotel special,...
The building and its atmosphere makes the hotel special, quite jaw-dropping when I first arrived. The plainsong you will hear, unfortunately, comes from a tape. I ate a pizza in the bar which was not impressive. I didn't have the hotel dinner - €25 seemed overpriced for what I imagined. The staff were pleasant, professional, not a lot of English spoken. The location is beautiful, on the edge of a town and the small river Carion that runs under a historic bridge - but the town itself is not of great interest, although there is a Dia supermarket about 5 minutes walk away. It is well-placed for travelling further west. There are advertised special facilities for Camino walkers - massages - but I did not try this. I know my review sounds ambivalent but this is a nice place in a beautiful building and I would recommend it.

We have stayed at three types of places, albergues, private rooms and apartments. My favorite is apartments and this is probably the nicest most complete apartment we stayed in.great location beautiful space and a ton of nice little touches, like available coffee and fruit. We stayed on May 1st so it was difficult to get food and the restaurants were jammed, but the proprietor gave us great suggestions and the kitchen was fully useable to make a nice dinner, just a really great place
The room was very quiet and warm and I slept well. Everything about the hotel was excellent. I’m 72 and hiking the Camino, trying to do 43 kms that day. The owners of the hotel knew this and kindly offered to come get me if I needed help. They were right and came immediately after I called. They couldn’t have been nicer about it. Also, the price of the room was very low, considering the excellent quality.
Hotel is a converted monastery in a lovely setting. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Good restaurant and bar with lovely gardens to walk in. Hotel is just outside the town and in a nice quiet setting. We were starting our Camino from this town and this was a lovely hotel to relax after traveling before we started our walk.
I loved this small hotel and the woman who runs it was friendly upon check in and offered to do all my wash that afternoon for 3E. While there is no restaurant attached, there are plenty around the corner and she recommended a perfect place for dinner. The room was very comfortable. The price was right and it was right on El Camino.
Staying in a former monastery is an unique experience. The church and cloister are unforgettable and beautiful. The hotel staff seem to only admit guests through locked doors giving access to the well preserved Benedictine grounds.
this was our second time staying here, even the same room. hotel is in the centre of town. the restaurant is top class, and the staff are really helpful. this hotel is so good that i have booked it again for our 2023 camino.
This is a a gem of a hostel. Better than many small hotels. Clean bright with the best shower of the Camino so far. There is a lovely restaurant attached which has a delicious dinner for €12 and a simple breakfast for €3.
Excellent location in town. I'm not a fan of self check in kiosks but the owner was there to help so no problems. It's a nicely updated and modern hotel with a wonderful pool and deck. Recommended.
Very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable room. The self check-in is very convenient and easy. Better than most of the hotels I've stayed in. Would love to come back here again!
It is a very good and friendly hotel, quiet, very clean, excellent beds, perfect location, very close to Camino, supermarket, bars and restaurants. I even had a nice balcony
Great location not a hostal it's a hotel everything thought out well and room wanted for nothing super clean for pilgrims treat yourselves to this oasis in Camino dessert
I liked the room so much that I opted to take an unplanned rest day on my Camino. It was the best hotel I stayed in on my Camino including The Parador in Santiago!
This hotel is in really beautiful setting. A modern hotel has been built inside the structure of a very old monastry. We really enjoyed our night in this hotel.
This may have been one of the most peaceful stays during our Camino. Walking around the grounds of the hotel you are transformed to a time centuries ago.
