A typical rural Spanish hotel set in an interesting historical village. We used this as an overnight stop on the way to the ferry. 2 hours from Bilbao was just right. Very friendly. Covarrubias was just passed Lerma and we stopped there in the morning on our way out.

By far the best accomodation in our 2 week holiday through France and spain. The village itself is a shot walk and a delight with history and a few nice bars/restaurants. I highly recommended this hotel and will surely come back one day

The hotel is beautifully renovated and the floors solid wood with traditional but new furniture. In the village it was very quiet on a Monday in late November. We did not see any other guests in the hotel either. Owner is a pleasant man who can give you useful tips for your stay. The owner is a delightful man who takes pride in his work. The breakfast is outstanding. When we left he gave us a bottle of the local wine. We will be back to this Hotel.
