The lovely and spacious room, the location (in a valley overlooking the village), how cosy the whole place was, how welcoming the hosts were. They also served us food that was amazing, one of the best meals we had in Spain!

The hotel was lovely very different from the modern hotels - loads of character loved the old furniture and the courtyard/garden was so peaceful and relaxing. The bar had a lovely terrace with stunning views to the mountains.

It is wonderful place for recharge your brain and mind! Located in the 1200 meters above sea level between mountains, on the outskirts of a small picturesque town , this place is so quite, cosy, with super fresh air and amazing view from the windows and around. Near the apartment are natural spring water sources, when we collected the tastiest water. There is the nice open courtyard with trampoline and slide for children, tables for breakfast or coffee time. Very friendly staff and owners, pet friendly place.

We stayed here after visiting Oasys Mini Hollywood. The hotel is located less than 10 minutes drive from the park.
The room was not huge, but it was clean and had a good shower.
The property had a small garden with some tables and a small pool, which was not operational at the time of our visit.

Excellent rural location to explore countryside, nearby tourist attractions, the coast and Almería city.
Use the internet to access information about the Tabernas dessert, one of the most geologically interesting landscapes in Europe and the only hot dessert in Europe. Search for ‘dessert landforms, geology and dessert photos - Almería. The Badlands- a place for geology enthusiasts’ for a really helpful explanation and plan of what to look out for and where to find it written by a knowledgeable family who have researched and explored the area, with a link to a published leaflet on the ‘Tabernas basin geological features’ with a good explanation of the main features and how they have been formed. Basically there is a lot of erosion taking place which has resulted in the distinctive badlands landscape. This is mostly due to 1.the geology / rock type which is easily eroded material ( mostly former sea bed and beach), 2.the precipitation causing occasional but heavy rainfall resulting in powerful temporary rivers, and 3.the lifting up of the land by mountain building, giving rivers increased erosional power.
