Truly amazing! The super large size suite with a fine decor and well maintained is just great. The host, Romy, went above and beyond to help with anything we needed and during our stay. Big thanks for everything!

Modern, clean, with lots of extras (including a “jaccuzi bath”. Right next to the station, very convenient to get the Topo train to San Sebastián, and 10 minutes from Hondarribia, well worth a visit! We will use again.

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was very nice.
It was a little difficult finding somewhere to eat at night.
It was a little difficult finding somewhere to eat at night. There were lots of wine bars, a few Tapas places and fast food areas in the nearby shopping mall. However, a good quality restaurant we couldn't find despite walking around the town for 30 minutes.

Friendly and helpful staff, close proximity to SNCF in Hendaye. Room was adequate in size and very clean. View across the terrace to dilapidated buildings was not exciting. Restaurant clean and efficient with very friendly staff.

Although it was only a one night stop-over there is a little bit more to Irun than we first thought
At the bottom of one of the main streets are the cobbled streets of the old town, with one or two good little cafes and a lovely park

lovely hotel - lovely people [particularly the boss with an excellent sense of humour - mind you, it helps speaking Spanish] - good service - delicious breakfast. We love this hotel!1
Only slightly marred by African/ Arab gentleman begging outside [and occasionally, inside the bar] - constructive suggestion, call the police / kick him out / get rid of him Suggestion to him: Get a job - the rest of us had to!

Loved our stay, left us feeling relaxed, having hot drinks in the room was a bonus and attention to detail was lovely. Walking distance to eat would be a problem for anyone with difficulties but I am sure a taxi wouldn’t be a problem, we found a bar restaurant nearby and the service and food was excellent, would definitely stay again.

We drove to the hotel, our Sat Nav took us straight to the door, we arrived around 3pm so it gave us chance to expire the close surroundings, seems a very busy and vibrant area with lots of shops, and places to eat and drink. We ate in a lovely curry place called 'curry'. The hotel is perfectly situated that you can walk to all these places
This is one of our favourite hotels if we need a stop over in this area; well located, friendly staff, well organised, clean rooms and we are allowed to bring our dog. Parking space is more than enough and direct at the hotel. Great breakfast, fresh bread, fruit etc. Last year the dinner was a bit disappointing, so this year we went out for dinner in the center of Irun. Lots of restaurants and nice squares to visit.
An Attractive Hotel. Room was a good size and bed very comfortable. Everything very clean and well kept. Hotel is a ways from the center of town and there is not much around the hotel area but was a good location to take early morning taxi to airport. On a Monday night the restaurant was not open but they sold reasonably priced sandwiches, drinks and beer from the bar.
- The gentleman who owns the place is really nice.
- I thought I was sharing the bathroom but actually there was a shower in the room, so only the toilet was shared.
- It's location is great- Irún center is close, there are busses to Hondarribia right across the street and the Camino passes a few meters away.
The hotel was exactly as I expected. It is not the fanciest hotel, but it fit my needs perfectly. The restaurant was great for both dinner and breakfast. The location was my main reason for choosing to stay at Hotel Aitana as it is close to the bridge that I wanted to start my Camino del Norte hike.
The location was perfect for us. The accommodation was easily walkable form both the bus station and the train station.
We liked Irun.
Romy and Jesus were lovely and very helpful with information and explanations. The shared kitchen is a great idea and was well utilized. Fantastic.
A great hotel. Perfect for us as we started the Camino Del Norte. Credentials available to buy. The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choices and plenty of everything. Friendly staff with English when we didn't have enough Spanish.
Quiet, comfortable, clean and well-appointed. And the host, Rosa, was exceptionally kind - amable - and helpful. She even helped us get from our car drop off at the Irun airport to Hendaye across the river in France.
Very good standard for hotel roomy and new facilities good to have balcony for out side space quite location but near town very helpful host could help you with any queries you may have we will be staying again
Everything was lovely. The staff, the hotel, the room, the breakfast. Everything was fantastic. I could not recommend this hotel more. I will look to stay there if i am anywhere near the area in the future.
Great location to begin the Camino Del Norte. Immaculate and beautifully appointed. Romy is an angel - providing her guests with absolutely everything they need both to enjoy Irun and start the Camino.
The hotel is in exactly the right place to break my drive from Southern Spain to my home in Paris and it has served me well in the past. As ever the staff are friendly and provide efficient service.
The room was very clean. The shower was hot and the shower curtain was clean. 😀The beds were comfortable. It was in a good location close to a train station and at a convenient start of the Camino.
A quiet place near Irun (on the border between France and Spain) and half an hour from San Sebastian by car. If you want you can relax yourself taking a rest in the garden. The host was very kind
Good location (near train station). Irun was interesting to visit and this was a good place to stay for the money. Room was very nice and the bathroom was very clean.
