Spacious apartment close to beach and amenities. Host allowed us very early check in as noone before us so we could drop off our luggage and make the most of the day. Plenty of free parking right outside property. Kitchen facilities excellent with plenty of essentials already there like salt, oil, coffee and milk so don't need a big shop before staying.

Manilva maintains some of its charm as an old fishing village, especially the area around Sabinillas with it's beachside restaurants filled with Spanish families eating lunch. The promenade is great for a long walk that takes you all the way to Estepona if you want to walk that long, and there are some lovely quiet beaches a little further down towards La Paloma. The Marina is a lively place with every variety of food from around the word. Bars with entertainment and it's a fabulous place to sip a coffee or cocktail, people watch and watch the boats come in and out. It's a place for a quieter holiday with breathe taking views from the mountains and plenty of water activities in the summer. A central location for a base to explore the area it's 5 minutes to Casares, 15 minutes to Sotogrande, 30 minutes to Gibraltar and 20 minutes to Estepona.

We were pleasantly surprised with Manilva.

We were pleasantly surprised with Manilva. It has a couple of closely linked areas and, although it was low season, there was enough to provide us with places to eat, drink and shop. It's definitely a walker's paradise - miles of roads and coastal paths to walk. The port at Duquesa is lovely - friendly bars and restaurants and pretty view of teh marina. The Quay bar does an amazing Irish cooked breakfast - definitely recommend that. There is an amazing tapas bar 'La Cabana de Rocio' just off the front - delicious empanadas. The Argentinian steak restaurant 'Victor' is superb for meat lovers. If you are in the port area, Arkwrights sells just about everything you can think of if you have forgotten something.

Manilvs is a fabulous location from which to explore the Costa del Sol. Manilva itself has different places and historical sites to explore as well as family friendly beaches, plenty eateries, bars and beachside restaurants and has a welcoming friendly vibe. Tips Visit the Roman baths and do the Winery tour. Both are great days out.

We chose Manilva to be close to family members for a wedding. All the villas are a good way from the beach and other amenities. There are no shops or bars in walking distance. You need a car for absolutely everything. I would not choose Manilva for a general holiday destination unless I wanted to spend most of my time in a wonderful villa. There are lots of bars and restaurant's in Estepona - about 30 mins away. Plenty of fish restaurants, etc. Main supermarket in Santa Grande - about 10 mins.

I've stayed at manilva sun for the last 10/11 years and prior to this in the local area (casares) for several years. love the location, close enough to gib, estepona and marbella for those that want, but prefer a more relaxed holiday. loads of great beaches to hand, and plenty of choices for eating out.

This whole area is totally fantastic , (some say a hidden gem)and obviously up and coming, with amazing long beaches a 40km Promenade running almost un interrupted to Marbella and a beautiful marina and busy centre but with lots of quieter areas with the natural beaches of Casares with beach cafes and then the busier areas of Sabinillas and La Duquesa Port / marina for all the restaurants and night life you could want. The Soto Grande Marina and lagoon canal system is lovely and not far away (20 min drive) and the golf courses, beaches, mountains and promenade offer a ton of amazing leisure options for walking, cycling mountain biking, hiking, running, kayaking, SUP/ing, golfing, boating, sea fishing, and a load more . The area is full of lovely friendly sociable people, who give you the time of day, and the range of food and excellent service in diverse restaurants is great. We didn't get a chance to get up to the whitewashed Spanish Old town of Casares but have that and lots of other things to do on our long bucket list for the area. Parking at La Duquesa marina was fine in February but maybe a bit trickier in the summer Im sure. But there's a taxi rank right there and a lot of the accommodation in this area is walking distance to almost everywhere. We had great food in many restaurants, like the Cafe , Bodega, Gauchos Bistro, The slow boat to China , The dolphin, The quays, Kinsale to name but a few ! Can't wait for our next trip back here.

Spacious apartment, very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely development with well kept grounds with lots of greenary and 2 pools with plenty of loungers. Wonderful views of the golf course from spacious balcony.Breakfast entertainment was watching golfers tee off! Unspoilt quieter part of the Costa del Sol but easy access to all that the Costa del Sol offers visitors.

Lovely spacious and clean property. Loved how peaceful it is. A bit out of the way but we loved that. Pool was great (although the filter wasn’t working). Good location for getting around to see the beautiful Costa del sol. Would advise anyone staying to hire a car. We had a fantastic holiday and will hopefully return soon.

Amazing views and a nice pool area that wasn't too busy when I was there. Nice apartment with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The walk to the beach wasn't too bad but the uphill walk back was harder but manageable and Manilva was a few minutes walk away so the location was good even without a car.

The best thing about this place is the value for money. It's not fancy but for us it was great we could cook and relax on our balcony. You get what you pay for. The rooms were clean. The FREE parking was great. Safe, easy to park the car and easy access from the hotel. The best parking we had in Spain.

Lovely views, pleasant room, you have to clean you own apartments and only get fresh towels on a Friday. Beds were comfortable. Parking is chargeable and you would need a car if you’re staying at this hotel. But in all was a great holiday

No breakfast included. The hotel was in the process of being upgraded so there were no other facilities. The owner was a nice man and explained to us what was happening with the hotel. No problem for us, we just needed a place to sleep.
