We sometimes take a train (line R3) from the French border in the Pyrenees to Barcelona but stop in Vic to spend the night at this hotel because it's much cheaper. Then we catch a morning train to the city. No complaints about the rooms, which are very correct. It's all very efficient and clean. The soundproofing is impressive. There's a good tapas bar opposite the station.
Mas Albereda is a restored stone farmhouse set in the Catalonian countryside, 7 km from Vic. It offers an indoor pool, free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with a minibar and TV.

The restaurant is great. Excellent food and wine for a reasonable price. Everything is gastronomic. The staff were very chilled out, efficient, friendly and helpful. The pool was a lovely way to relax after a day out. The village is also very nice with a number of architectural villas and nice food shops.
