Olga was really warm and friendly and she arranged for us to have dinner 5 minutes' drive away in Litos. People in the village were also very welcoming. This is a great location for exploring the Sierra, and very well-heated and comfortable. On the way there we saw two wolves crossing the road in front of us.

The house has recently been totally reformed and has been finished and furnished to a high standard. The house actually has 2 bedroooms but as a single person renting the complete house I only used the main bedroom, in which the bed was extremely coomfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped and, to cope with cold nights, there are electric heaters throughout the property. In the (very quiet) village there are 2 bars, one of which serves a menu del día and has owners who are extremely accommodating and helpful. For an overnight stop on the Via de la Plata this house has everything that 1 to 4 peregrinos could possibly need. Apart from one telephone call to obtain the code for the key lock box and to request the location of the bars in the village I had no contact with the owners so cannot really comment on them.
