Can't really comment too much about it, as I collapsed into bed immediately on arrival.

Home to the Roman baths of Constantine, the necropolis of Alyscamps and the Church of St. Trophime, Arles is a perfect example of a city perfectly combining the ancient with the modern. For me, Arles is one of the most interesting places to visit in France. With its 1st century Roman ruins, Van Gogh's history there as illustrated through many of his paintings, and the beautiful Carmargue horses and delta environment, there were so many wonderful things to do and explore. The highlight of my trip was at the Domaine de Mejanes restaurant where we magically enjoyed the music of two nephews from the internationally renowned band Gipsy Kings! As it turns out they are from Arles and the family performs often at restaurants in the area. We cant wait to return! One note - if you ride the horses in the Camargue area be sure to bring lots of mosquito repellant as the waterways are a natural environment for them.

It doesn’t get so many tourists but tourist traps abound. But if you look selectively for a good restaurant you will find several and we had four outstanding dinners. It’s small but cozy and clean with lots of cute squares for tea or a drink. Several good museums and roman monuments. Four days is not too long.

The Easter feria is a good time to visit Arles, although food and service can be as low as 'poor'. Plenty of culture from Roman ruins to street bands. Excellent and elegant Museum of Arles. Wonderful street market on Saturdays with high quality goods. Shops, ranging from very high end local produce and clothing, to convenience stores, most open all (public holiday) weekend.

Arles is just gorgeous, but I also really recommend a guided trip into the Camargue, stunning nature and history. We were guided by Christophe from the official guide association, great experience. Also, the saturday market is a must! A lot of great things on offer to take with you on a picknick in the country-side just outside of Arles!
Our room was wonderful with large bed in spacious bedroom. The shower was excellent. The petit déjeuner was outstanding. Each day had slightly different choices - all were good. We enjoyed cooking fresh eggs in the special egg cooker they provided. The hosts were excellent. The owner, Jean-Michel, noticed I was getting ready for a run and he drove me to close by favorite running route! We enjoyed the quiet location, just outside of Arles. They helped with directions to take a shuttle bus to Nimes. All we could ask for and more!
I always enjoy staying at an Ibis hotel because of its consistency. You know what your room will be like. The receptionist spoke perfect English and was very helpful in showing me the bus routes on the map. Free parking is always a plus in France. The room was very large and although it didn't have all the amenities like shampoo and hand lotion, on the other hand it was very inexpensive and a good place for a quiet overnight stop convenient to public transportation into Arles City center.
Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The two reception staff were always very helpful. The location of the establishment, dozens of meters from the amphitheater and a little further from the Forum Square and Republic Square, is really perfect. I did not use your breakfast, as I preferred to have it at the savoirs et Terroirs cafe, down the street.
I would recommend the hotel to other guests and, should I ever return to Arles, I would be very glad to use it again.
This hotel is very nostalgic for me . I stayed in Arles 50 years ago and the Source brought it all back to me . Its very old fashioned (but with modern conveniences .) The very friendly service , the garden with its old trees, everything is charming in its unassuming authenticity. Great big breakfast and we got lots of tips in English of what to do and where to go in Arles , which also hasn’t changed they much in 50 years !
It was a lovely boutique hotel and had the most amazing rooms and bathrooms decorated so beautifully , so private and very quirky . The gardens were so lovely and the resident cat and dog were so friendly. Need a car to travel to Arles but we knew its location when we booked it. The pool was lovely and had a great stay with our two kids who enjoyed the pool at night without restrictions. Lovely staff who were polite and helpful.
The Spa is great, relaxing and very well organised. The breakfast is wonderful, very wide range of fresh food with attention to biological local products. The staff is very professional and welcoming and the hotel has got also facilities for conferences and it is like a community place. The room was spacious and with a lovely decor and a lovely small terrace. Highly recommend it !
The apartment is convenient to parking so we could use our car to explore the area, and the location is convenient to see the sights of Arles and to eat at restaurants. Market Day was so close! The street is limited access, so very few vehicles and quiet. The newer windows do a great job blocking any sounds. The apartment is well decorated and had the supplies we needed.
We loved everything in La Muette! From the smiling friendly welcome to the atmosphere of the old house and walls. The hotel is situated directly in the middle of the old city, just a short distance from the forum. Every street, every house in its own way beautiful. We fell in love with Arles and in La Muette. We would have liked to stay longer and will come again!
This is a family-owned hotel for nearly 100 years. It’s not the most modern- but it’s lovely, the staff is exceptionally helpful, they offer onsite parking which is unheard of, and the location in Arles literally cannot be beat! Wish the pool/terrace had been open but will have to come back in season!
Firstly staff were amazing. Especially in the restaurant, reception and bar. They tried their best with a shabby out of date dirty hotel. The location was good for exploring Arles city. The packed lunch option was a good idea for exploring the area.
Amazing location. We had a great view of the alley from our spacious room. The atmosphere was cozy and the entire hotel was decorated nicely. It had great breakfast and included filtered coffee (it’s a nice break from espresso)
The location of the hotel is incredible -- right next to the Arles market. It is extremely convenient to drive to but then also to walk to the city center. The breakfast is great.
Very well located, in the center of the beautiful neighborhood of ancient Arles, close to restaurants, bars, and more...
Everything at a walkable distance
the rooms were clean. the air conditioning worked well. the hotel was close to the train station and Arles is small so it was close enough to everything.
