The location was ideal. We enjoyed our visit to the Musée, Monet's garden and the house. We also loved the baguettes from the local bakery. It was a wonderful village to celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary.

It was situated in a charming, “ancien” chateau right on the quaint cobblestone street of Rue Claude Monet. October, and still the lane was filled with flowers! Véronique was an extraordinarily gracious host, offering to pick us up from the train station. We found the accommodations delightful—very cozy and well appointed, everything we needed in this sweet lair above her art studio. It was a 5 minute walk to Claude Monets gardens and home, and a 2 minute walk to the beautiful old church where he and family members were buried. We spent 3 days walking in the picturesque hills above Giverny, through farmland and forests. It was relaxing and quaint and slow-paced, a world away from Paris.

This place is excellent! Beautiful and cozy! The hosts were father and daughter, very wonderful and pleasant. We felt safe and at home. Their breakfast was delicious, prepared by Luciano. Location is walking distance to Monet’s house and gardens. Bathroom was very clean, the bed was a king size and very comfortable. We will be coming back!

The host, location, everything was absolutely perfect. Elisa could not have been more accommodating & helpful! It is definitely listed among our very favorite places.
A charming village with good restaurants, bakery and cafes.
A charming village with good restaurants, bakery and cafes. The Museum was interesting and held beautiful artwork of Impressionists. Monet's garden and house were a treat to visit. Our timing was perfect - there was much in bloom and the weather was cooperative. There were hidden monuments - Monet's bust, the monument to him and his family. And the house was beautifully replicated.

Beautiful village, with a sense of peace and quietness despite many tourists. Monets garden is absolutely worth a visit as well as the impressionist museum. We had dinner at the new restaurant “Oscar” at the museum (excellent food at a fair price, definitely recommend it)

This centre was lacking in the overall character of a village. The gardens were the focus. But there was very little opportunity to enjoy the village separate to the gardens as there were no shops to buy local cheese, yes there is a bakery but no partisse. It had character but no sole.

We loved the gardens and house although very busy.
We loved the gardens and house although very busy. Glad we chose the earlier booking option as by the time we left it was mobbed. If we had longer we would have gone to the museum too, however, we were en route south and needed to get going.
Like it even better once we left the pre booked disgusting Les Rouges Gorges and paid for another stay at the idyllic La Dime.

Giverny is quiet and beautiful. Completely walkable.
Giverny is quiet and beautiful. Completely walkable. Try to stay in town for the best experience, but note that there are only a few restaurants open after 6 p.m. We missed out on the combination ticket for Monet's Gardens and the Impressionist Museum, but both were worth the full price, so we didn't mind. There are a few lovely little shops as well, 2 which support the Monet Gardens. And a highlight for me personally was a sweet, older local man who offered me a fresh fig from his garden, and peeled it for me. Delightful!
We managed to book this hotel when Giverny was closing for winter. The staff which were young went out of their way to help us. Even though the restaurant was closed for our second night, they still provide dinner for us, as all the restaurants were closed in the town. Plus a very large storm was coming though and we had to get to Vernon and there were no buses so they arranged to take us. It was an exciting stay. Special thanks to Kimi for looking after us!
Fabulous apartment, beautifully furnished and decorated in modern French style. Very clean. Wonderful comfy beds. Two showers. Valerie met us to hand over the key and show us the apartment. Ideal for 4 people. 1 room with twin beds, 1 room with queen bed and single bed. Could walk to Monet's garden. Recommend Hotel Baudy for evening meal. Giverny is a delightful village. We had a great time and would highy recommend the Givernel apartment.
This is beautifully maintained property built in in traditional style of the village and less than 15 minutes from the entrance to Monet's garden. We liked the decor and the facilities were very good indeed. Valerir (the owner) was very helpful and answered any questions we had quickly and accuratly. The courtyard at the back gets the evening sun so we had our aperitif there.
Our main tip is to visit Vernon as well as Giverny
First of all, Danielle was so charming, English speaking and there to make our trip a success. She even suggested and made a reservation for a wonderful dinner in the evening. This hotel looks just like its pictures and is located within walking distance to the Monet gardens. It was a perfect place to stay.
This beautiful historic property is located very close to the main area of Giverny. We were able to walk to the areas of interest as well as local restaurants. The room was clean and modern, and the beds were quite comfortable, though the "sit down" shower took some maneuvering!
This may have been the quirkiest place I've ever stayed. The location was as advertised, easy walking distance to what there is of a town center and the Monet house/gardens. The breakfast was nice and the room we finally settled in was well suited to our needs.
Perfect location in Giverny and a very comfortable stay. The host left a bottle of artisan apple juice and packet of biscuits for us, which was a very thoughtful and welcomed gesture given that we arrived late in the afternoon without any food supplies.
The location was excellent. I caught a train from Paris to Vernon then hired a bike to ride to Giverny. The accomodation was easy to find and a short ride to restaurants and Monet's house along a beautiful road which was a pleasure to ride along.
• The location was perfect, in the heart of Giverny.
• The bedroom was pretty (Nympheas)
• The bed was comfortable
• The shower room was en suite (which isn’t clear in the description so that was a bonus)
Bang in the centre of giverny, everything in walking distance. Lovely room in beautiful gardens with private parking. Able to buy tickets for the house and garden direct from the host so no queuing.
Beautiful apartment in Giverny. Walkable to all sights and restaurants.
The hosts were wonderful with fresh fruits in the kitchen and fresh homemade jams and toast for breakfast.
Beautiful tranquil place in the beautiful tranquil village of Giverny. Lovely welcome by very nice owners. Spotlessly clean. Perfectly placed for the Fondation Monet.
