One of the most beautiful towns in the world! I wish I had stayed longer as it makes for an excellent base whilst day tripping all around the Riviera! Opera club was a good night club recommendation I went to both nights and old Nice is just fabulous for a perfect laid back dinner and drinks.

After Covid closure, Nice is in decline.
After Covid closure, Nice is in decline. Many good restaurants have gone and are replaced by pubs with loud music. The overkill of american and british tourists specially in groups have a very negative influence on the atmosphere in the city. To avoid during summer season. Best go in spring or fall. Public transportation is good, take the bus or train direction Menton or Cannes. Plenty to do and visit.

We absolutely loved Nice we visited Eza which was a beautiful village to visit. So worth visiting to weave yr way around the old village and beautiful little shops. We also went to St. Tropez which was also grt to visit on the way we went to a village called Antibes so quaint where we watched the changing of the guards Some grt little shops and eateries. Well worth a visit. We did a private half day tour to Monaco with other scenic stops on the way. We stayed opposite the Mediterranean which had some beautiful eateries down on the beach. Nice is well worth a visit :)

Train to Bogaderha in Italy. Small fishing port. Train station is right in the town.
Several good places to eat. Le Frog,Maison Marie and Olive and Artichoke, Michelin recomended .
Great facilities, kitchen really kitted out with anything you could need. Big and spacious, which to be honest we didn’t expect and so was a nice surprise.
Location was good, and not a bad thing (you should know before you get there!) but most days do end up with a 20-30minute walk home if you’re spending time in the old town! But Rue de France, the road the property is on, has loads of places to eat and drink less than 10 minutes away
Great value for money, would definitely stay again and can see myself going back to Nice for sure!
Very convenient to the airport, the tram and the train station. Surprisingly you could not hear the airplanes-very well insulated from sound. The staff went out of their way to help us with some luggage storage issues which made a big difference in our multi-faceted trip using this hotel as a base to visit several other countries in addition to the Côte d’Azur. We took the tram to old town Nice, the train to Cannes, and planes to Spain and then to the US- very convenient, especially with airport shuttle.
It is my 3rd time enjoying the unrivalled hospitality of Hotel d'Ostende.
As a hotel professional myself, this hotel is a shining diamond of Nice, France.
The staff, both at reception and uphouse are extremely helpful, obliging and seem to work in a very pleasant atmosphere, which clearly permeates and enhances their professionalism.
With many further happy memories of the splendid Hotel d'Ostende, I look forward to my return.

Staff were amazing. We didn't like our first inside facing room and they happily changed it the next day to one with a stunning view (the Nice dream). Lovely clean, well sized room and very well kept and clean hotel. Beautiful bathroom and shower. Fantastic location close to the main centre, Old town and promenade/beautiful seaside with tons of great food places (try L'alchimie just around the corner). Would highly recommend this hotel
The best host you will ever find in France, the location is super, so easy to reach from the airport, a nice walk away (or tram ride) from the city center, beach is just few steps further, boulangerie is across the street, supermarket is super close etc. And it is qiuet there, that’s true! You will sleep like a baby no matter what! PS! The host knows all the secrets and pearls of Nice ;)
this was the highlight of our stay in France! Fabio was by far the best host. All his recommendations for Nice were perfect and all though our stay was only 3 days, we managed to squeeze in almost all of the sight seeing in that time. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms comfortable, clean and the coffee machine in the room and croissant we received every morning a lovely touch.
The location was great! The best place to stay if you plan to travel to cities nearby such as: Monte Carlo or Cannes. Only 200 m from the train station.
The hotel is also very close to the Alsace-Lorraine station (if you land @Nice Airport). Walking distance to get to the old town of Nice.
The twin room was clean, spacious enough for one or two people, with a nice bathroom inside.
It is one of the best places I stayed in France. It's really in the heart of the city, train station, tram lines are on walking distance.
The hostel is beautiful, clean. Staff is nicer n helpful.
Bar, kitchenette is available. They have happy hour 6-8 pm ( haven't used it but it's mentioned) .
Rooms, bathrooms r clean. In short they maintain standard. I liked it. :)
Nice place to spend a night or two to discover the city. The location is perfect - 6min away from the train station, 15min away from the seaside. Lots of shopping areas, restaurants, cafes around.
The room was clean and space is ok for a building in the city center - it's France!
All necessary things were there, elevator works, Wi-Fi, etc. - no issues at all.
A lovely niche hotel in the heart of Nice's Old Town in walking distance of the beach and lots of other local amenities. The breakfast buffet had a lovely selection to choose from and the pancake toppings were a big hit. The complimentary coffee, tea, marshmallows and biscuits in the hotel bar were a lovely touch and our daughters enjoyed the foosball table.
The apartment has an excellent location in Rue de France. Everything is very close and within walking distance. The proprietary is very kind and is willing to answer all your questions. This apartment is very clean and has all that you need. If you come by car, there is a parking garage "Massena" close to this apartment.
The location is very practical if you intend to use trains. I took the train to both Cannes, Monaco and Paris from Nice. The trainstation is just a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The tram that takes you down to the beach promenade and the old town is also just a 5 minute walk away. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The location was good, within walking distance from the old town. The staff is friendly and speaks a little bit of English. If you're traveling on a budget, take note that prices in grocery stores in the center of Nice are about 30-50% higher than on average in France.
Fabulous location, a stones throw from the train station so very handy for going to Monte Carlo or Antibes/Cannes. Near Nice main high st & a lovely 20 minute walk to Nice old town. Comfy beds, good value compared to other hotels.
Location, location, location! Right on the beach with the most spectacular views of the ocean and the old town of Nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for comfort, room size, location and view. Ticks all boxes!
The location was amazing, staff was so helpful and friendly! The building and rooms were clean and adorable! :) The breakfast was amazing as well. It’s everything you imagine when you picture staying in France!
Great hotel close to beautiful beach promenade and restaurants. Walking distance to Nice Old Town and to airport tram. Very nice breakfast! Super friendly and helpful staff.
