The room was spacious, the view was nice and the bed was comfortable. The hotel provided slippers and bathrobes; the little luxury items that made a difference.
We stayed a few days to look around Mt Fuji with a hired car, so I can’t comment on location in terms of public transport. There is a shopping mall nearby, it’s handy to buy a few things. There are also a few restaurants in walking distance. The coffee shop next to the carpark has great coffee.

I had a tatami room with futon beds that faced Mt Fuji so that made for a splendid view. The staff were really focused on customer service.
We arrived by car on a rainy day and two of them were waiting at the driveway with umbrellas.
Dinner and breakfast were very good and typical Japanese style, very pretty to look at.
At departure, because I was hoping to catch the wisteria season at hamamoto flower park, the reception took the initiative to call the park to enquire.
To top it off, on departure, a young lady staff accompanied us to our car and helped to control traffic for us to drive off. And after driving off maybe 80 metres I could still see her waving us goodbye in my rear mirror.

We rented a car and drove from Tokyo to Yamanashi and for us it was perfect. We were able to see all 5 lakes in one day going from one to the other in succession.
The restaurants in the area offer a great variety of sushi, izakaya and bbq. There is also a great Omakase restaurant nearby the hotel called Fresh Water that offers a different experience to the usual tried and tested.
On the day of our departure back to Tokyo we decided to swing by Fuji Q Highland with low expectations - the theme park is legit with a great Naruto Village, high octane rollercoaster rides and from our own experience a great haunted house that lasts the majority of an hour to walk through.
Loved it. Would definitely revist the entire area.

Check the weather forecast before planning your trip to Kawaguchiko, as beside the view of Mt Fuji there's very little to do there, also restaurants are very rare and working hours is almost not existent, everything closes early or not open at all... so be mindful of the meals you should carry with you.

The view of the lake is absolutely stunning, but it's quite disappointed that we didn't catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji. It's always a good idea for travelers to check the weather beforehand.

The hotel is somewhat outdated but well-maintained (and thus clean and orderly). Staff was very helpful and you notice they really thought about ensuring a guest experience that accommodates non-Japanese speaking tourists. The Futons were very comfy.
The location is excellent: In front of the lake, restaurants & conbinis nearby. Ample parking in front of the hotel.
We enjoyed the private onsen experience (50 mins for JPY 3,900).
We also had a Mt Fuji view.
Didn't eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on that.
It's nearby the train station. The have a free shuttle that takes you from and to the hotel. If you don't have to call them, just go to the information center and they will call them to get you. We stayed at the japanese style room. The futon was comfortable. It had a great view of the lake. The breakfast has a lot of optiona and it is delicious. The offer a special dinner that is amazing. The private onsen was clean. The staff is very kind and they alway have at least one that speak english.
The hotel is well located, around 15min walk from Kawaguchiko station (you could also take a public bus for around 200 yen, but they were too crowded to go with luggage). The hotel offered a free shuttle from 8am to 11am back to Kawaguchiko station. They have free drinks and cookies at the reception and were very organized. Breakfast was around $25 per person/day, but offered a good variety of foods for all tastes. Bedroom had a nice view of the Mt Fuji and everything you needed inside.
It was very near to the ogi station, reachable by red line bus. The room was very cosy - comfy bed and clean, although it has the standard squeezy japanese hotel room size. For queen size bed room - can fit 2 carry on luggage. It wont fit if you have larger luggage.
Love the bathroom and ammeties provided, self-service at the lobby.
Free breakfast was acceptable for the price we paid.
it has convenient luggage lockers near the lobby. Contactless check-in using the kiosk in lobby.
It’s quite new and very clean. The bed is very comfortable. Our room is facing Mt Fuji which has an awesome view. The hotel provide shuttle service in the morning at 9, 9.30 & 10am. They can send your luggage to their Hao Coffee cafe near the train station at 500 yen per luggage while you go sightseeing. You will be given a 250 yen credits for redemption either at Hao coffee or Hao kitchen. Just as the name of the hotel, it’s really a 好place to stay. 😃
We had the best experience of our lives to date staying here. From our arrival, the staff went above and beyond and provided the best service. Our room was clean, organized, and well stocked. The view from our room was breathtaking. The staff catered to our every needs and provided us with some, if not the best, meals we had in Japan. If we ever decide to visit Fujikawaguchiko again, we would definitely stay at Fufu Kawaguchiko. 10/10!
This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. I was picked up from Kawaguchiko Station promptly after arriving and driven right to the front door, they even carried my bags up to my room for me! The service was wonderful, the view from the room was wonderful, and the bath was wonderful. Although it is a public bath, I was the only one there both times I visited. The breakfast spread was also incredible!
Very charming older property. The staff were all very nice. We loved the views from the hotel! The onsen has a view of Mt Fuji. Our room (216) was at the end of the building, giving us one window with a beautiful view of Mt Fuji as well, and the other main window had a fabulous view of the lake. I highly recommend paying for the breakfast - it was one of our favorite meals of our entire Japan trip.
If you’re looking for a place to stay on your trip to Fuji, Plaza Inn Kawaguchiko is the best choice.
Located just in front of the Kawaguchiko Station, arround 150 meters by walk.
It’s an inn type of hotel. But it has everything we need.
The old man at the front desk was really friendly and helpful.
Very cozy little home, with a view of Mt Fuji when the weather is good. Very walkable distance from Kawaguchiko station and all sorts of amenities like washer/dryer and dishes with utensils included. Wife and I loved the stay here, very different feel from a traditional hotel.
The staff was very helpful, as one would expect in Japan, but the level of their English was quite exceptional! If you struggle with speaking the local language, consider accommodation in this hotel/ryokan.
At dinner, they were very considerate towards our dietary limitations.
Great location. Just opposite to the Kawaguchiko bus station.
Room was very clean and well maintained as usual in Japan.
Staffs were very friendly, helpful and caring in nature.
There are convenience store and restaurants nearby.
I strongly recommend this hotel.
Great location. You can reach the hotel by foot or bus from the kawaguchiko Station.
I had a room with Fujisan view and it was amazing. The view seemed like a painting, surreal but beautiful.
The onsen is also really nice and it was not full on a weekday.
Nice hotel. 10-15 minutes walk from kawaguchiko station. 5 minit from mini market, drug store, and supermarket. My second time stayed in this hotel. Lower prices compared other hotels, but facilities are good enough for me. Will come back again
Great location you can saw Mont Fuji at the front door of the hotel. Staff so nice they even pick you up from Kawaguchiko station and drive you as many times as needed. Free delicious coffee and wonderful confort living room area.
Fuji View, polite English speaking staff, cleanliness, public bath, nice breakfast buffet, nice Japanese restaurant in front of the hotel, near supermarkets, spacious car park n clean towels.
The mt. fuji view from the room is fantastic. Its a typical Japanese Ryokan so you can enjoy a Japanese style public bath and tatami room. The hotel is super clean. Staff is super helpful.
Amazing typical Japanese hotel with typical Japanese rooms. So worth the stay.
The onsen is a big plus.
The view of the lake is beautiful and the room is spacious and comfy.
Sparkling clean and spacious room compared to the traditional room type in Japan. We drove a car to visit Kawaguchiko spots, it’s not far from the hotel.
