The location was wonderful, very peaceful and interesting, with beautiful views and excellent walking at every level, from a gentle ramble to a serious hike - lots of steep hills but plenty of variety. The house was very clean and comfortable and the hosts were exemplary, very attentive and welcoming without being intrusive, but with a wealth of local knowledge and information, as well as impressive fluency in several languages. There was an honesty bar in the entrance hall so drinks of many kinds were available all day, although we were mostly our during the day. The food also was excellent.. Breakfast was generous and delicious, very relaxed about the timing and everything had been thought of and freshly prepared. Also dinner - both meals were on the terrace with beautiful views and plenty of space. The three course dinner was also freshly prepared and of an incredibly high standard - we were asked each morning if the menu sounded alright and it was always a joy. Altogether our stay was perfect in every way, totally relaxing and wonderfully comfortable with such generous and hospitable hosts to ensure that everything was perfect. We cant recommend it highly enough for a relaxing break.
