Far from turistic areas but close to the middle and south parts of the island. I was driving a 125 cc so I did not want to drive long distances everyday. The hotel is nicely decorated with stonewalls and the bed was really comfortable as well as too big for one person. Breakfast was nice and every day the hot meal was different. What I mostly like is to be at a place run by locals (Cristobal) and since they have not many rooms you can always meet the other guests.

Agroturismo La Gayria is an 18th-century farm in Tuineje, Fuerteventura consisting of 3 independent houses. Doramas was extremely helpful and kind. He responded very quickly whenever we reached out to him. The location is very beautiful and the facilities were all there, including grounded coffee and a coffee maker. We enjoyed petting the donkeys and we were allowed to help Doramas feed them :) The chickens are fun to watch and make cute sounds, especially in the morning.

The house is spacious and clean with comfortable bedrooms and large living room/kitchen which is fully-equipped with everything except a dishwasher. The garden is similarly large and well-maintained. It is located in a very quiet part of the island although close enough to drive to some of the best beaches in the north. The hosts were always friendly and very welcoming. On arrival they left us with a huge pile of chocolates, some fruit and a nice bottle of wine, said hello every day we saw them, were quick to sort out any minor problems, and even brought us a lovely homemade cake. One of the best houses we’ve ever had the pleasure of renting.

A non heated pool and my favourite the bbq area made it complete.
