I loved the room and the food even thought arrived late, it was amazing.
We order the food to be delivered at 9 and we chased them up at 9:30. The food eventually arrived at 10. We received and apology and we were not charged for it, which really surprised us.
Located in Gijón centre, the charming Hotel Central is 600 meters from the both San Lorenzo and Poniente Beaches.

Great value, small hotel, centrally located right next to the bus station, but a short distance from the beautiful bay, too. Very friendly staff and a great breakfast!

I chose the hotel based purely on location (closest one to where the friends I was visiting live) and was absolutely fine for what I needed. I ended up working on my laptop at the little desk in my room a lot more than expected and the WiFi didn't drop once. Staff were friendly, room & hotel clean, a little noisy but it's on the main road with a restaurant underneath (which opens much later than it says online) but the windows keep the worst of the road and bin lorry noises out.

The hotel also catered for dogs, and my little Bella had a great time running round the beautiful garden.
We could have stayed much longer as the hotel and Gijon were so nice.

We stayed here on our way from the ferry in Bilbao on our way to Galicia and we definitely chose the best place! This is a beautiful country guesthouse in a quiet rural enclave with spectacular views and a wonderful welcome. Just ten minutes' drive from the centre of Gijon, it offers the best of both worlds - a restful, peaceful country retreat and easy access to the city centre and beaches. Cristina could not have been more attentive and hospitable. The rooms are lovely with real attention to detail from the artisan toiletries to the freshly cut off flowers. We had a garden room that looked out over the gardens and rolling fields and beyond over Gijon. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful, complete with homebaked shortbread! Cristina was also very pet friendly which was much appreciated. We will be back! We highly recommend to anyone staying in Gijon.
