I loved the City it was clean and well maintained.
I loved the City it was clean and well maintained. I got lost and a kind Spanish man helped me get back on the Camino. This man walked with me for 4 kilometres until we found the Camino TRAIL. Ponferrada the City should mark the Camino trail better than they have. Even signage within the city saying “Camino that way. A few other city residents did not have a clue on how to get back to the Camino. The Knights Templar Castle was a sight to see.

We loved staying in the middle of the Old Town with the...
We loved staying in the middle of the Old Town with the Castle just 5 minutes' walk away. People were friendly and there are lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The drives into the nearby towns and mountains were fabulous. Perfect weather this time of year and not too many tourists. A great place to stop for the many Pilgrims on the Camino trail.

Our room was nice, very comfortable, clean and spacious with a view of the nearest park. The staff was nice and helpful, the fact that they have their own parking places in the apartment complex parking a great advantage. They also have a restaurant and a bar. This time we chose to explore the city. Would return and recommend it!

The appartement is rightly named a suite. The interior is brand new and well designed. It offers all comfort and comfortable beds. And then … the roodtop terrace has an amazing view on the castle and the basilica. The host was great and very helpful. The procedure smooth. Don’t hesitate to book here, and try to stay more than one night!

There were a variety of restaurants very close by. We had an excellent lunch at the first one on the right in the piazza (wish I remembered the name!). The apartment had everything we needed. the host included coffee, toiletries, clean linens, and a washing machine - all the appreciated comforts for a pilgrim!

We had a stop off in ponferrada and found this place, the location couldn't be more perfect. The hotel sit's in-between 2 plazas and 3 minute walk from Ponferrada castle, there are numerous restaurants and bars all around.
