The house is simple and functional but the location is unbeatable: extremely close to the plaza, a supermarket, various restaurants and hiking trails. It's also pretty quiet given the central location.
Communication with the host was quick and efficient.

Staff is great. Really friendly and cozy. The room was nice and super clean but a little bit cold (late November) but there was a well functioning heater.
Best option quality/price-wise

Vallehermoso is excellently located for hiking routes in the centre, north and west of the island. There are bus connections with San Sebastián, the capital, and Valle Gran Rey, the main tourism destination. It is a traditional Canarian village with some attractive old houses and is a good place to relax and disconnect. There is a beach at the bottom of the valley where you can sunbathe and also swim if the waves are not too big.

The drive here is the best bit.
The drive here is the best bit. I’m too heavily pregnant to take part in trekking but I bet it’s worth it. The town itself is ok. We weren’t made to feel welcome by one particular local who swore at us (I travelled alone with a 7 year old so felt this was uncalled for as we were only sat in a cafe eating ice cream). I would drive through again but wouldn’t stay the night as I wasn’t impressed with the accommodation or places to eat in the town.

It’s a very nice and lovely area.
It’s a very nice and lovely area. The people always greet you and you feel accepted even if you are a tourist. Respect the people and the nature. There are beautiful hiking paths around and it has the perfect weather for hiking! Not too hot not too cold.
Ic can recommend Casa Amaya as a place to spend the night there. It has a perfect location right at the plaza de la constitution and is super cozy and comfy. As well you can use the organic garden and the host Alfredo is always there for you if you have any questions! :)
Located in tiny town with just a few buildings, one restaurant (with delicious seafood - must try!) this cosy apartment with breathtaking sea and sunset view is all you need if you’re looking for quiet place, without crowds to rest and chill. Apartment itself is not 5* hotel standard but it’s spacious, clean and have all you need to spend few days. There’s separate bedroom and small sunny balcony with sea view where you can eat breakfast in the morning and relax in the evening watching spectacular (sometimes) sunsets and huge waves.
Beautiful room.which was large and had original features. The staff were outstanding and made us so welcome, even presenting me with a birthday cake and candle! We ate in the hotel for both nights. It was priced reasonably and the food was very tasty. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast which was included in our booking.
We used the local bus and the bus station was really close to the hotel (less than 5 min).
We would highly recommend this hotel.
It was such a pleasure to stay with you! The hosts are so nice and make you feel at home from the very beginning. They were always there to help and give information. The hostel itself has everything you need to feel comfortable. nice dorms, clean barhrooms and cozy common areas like the living room and especially the rooftop terrace that has a great view over Vallehermoso and the sorounding mountains.
I would recommend this place 100%
The house is a typical rustic La Gomera house with a lot of character. The owner managed to combine old and new in a unique way. The house is spacious, has everything one (frankly 4, but also up to 6 people) needs for a calm relaxing stay. Even the internet connection is ok in this secluded part of Vallehermoso. Waking up with many birds singing mixed with sounds of playful young goats makes the stay even nicer.
The hostel is the nicest hostel building I’ve ever stayed in - and it is kept impeccably clean by the staff. I also really liked the staff who were super helpful, providing great info for hiking on the island. And Vallehermoso is a great location, with a few supermarkets and a couple really good authentic restaurants. Buses regularly visit the small village.
Great hotel, right in the center of Vallehermoso.
There are some nice restaurants and cafes nearby, including one right across the street.
The breakfast is very good - lots of variety.
The room is a good size and has everything you need.
They also have a nice garden in the middle where you can sit and relax.
Amazing place to stay if you are in Vallehermoso.
We absolutely loved our stay in this historic property. Centrally located, the house offers beautiful views over Vallehermoso, tasteful interior design and beautiful historic furniture and features restored with great attention to detail. Gloria was extremely helpful, welcoming and kind.
Great location close to centre of Vallehermoso and bus station. Basic but comfortable room and delicious breakfast with real coffee served by very kind and helpful staff. Nice big courtyard for socialising
Breakfast was great, and staff very nice. Vallehermoso cute mountain town and good base for hiking (up around Roque Cano). Nice place (and not many other options in town).
Maria was a delightful host and the apartment is well set up and in a brilliant location in the middle of the beautiful town of Vallehermoso, with an amazing view.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and hope we'll return soon! The hotel has a magnificient view and the staff is very friendly. A perfect place to relax.
Fantastic accommodation option in Vallehermoso. Comfortable, quiet, clean, central location......and Alfredo is an excellent host! Strong recommendation!
