Just what I needed, comfortable, quiet, there is a microwave, I had a room at the front, with the sun in the afternoon (the rooms at the back are not so nice in the winter), warm in the room (but no heating in the dining room), free parking

The flat was easy to find with street parking seconds around the corner. Although we did not speak Spanish our host was able to let us know about the heating. He answered a query sent later in the day via Booking.com. The flat was warm, clean and well equipped. El Barraco is a lovely small town with bars, restaurants, shops and market.

The breakfast was not exceptional as advertised on Booking. Dry toast with marmelade and a small slice of cake, tea or coffee. We asked for cheese but were told there was none (there was cheese on the restaurant menu!). The host guided us to á very good bikeshop in Avila, big plus for that.

The lunch and dinner food was excellent. I wasn't expecting such good food, since there was nothing written about it, or pictured, on the websites where I found this place. It only advertised breakfast, which we did not eat. We had planned to have dinner at another restaurant close by, but so glad we decided to eat here instead. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Quiet peaceful ambience. Friendly and attentive staff.
