Hostal Casa Jose, guest house in Santa Cruz

Casa Jose is a family-run guest house located in Santa Cruz, 20 km from Córdoba and 30 minutes’ drive from Cordoba Airport.

The restaurant serves homemade recipes, and a traditional Spanish breakfast including fresh orange juice, toasts and cured ham, is served every morning. The Hostal also has a bar and features a drinks vending machine.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming towards us and the dinner was fantastic! We took some bocadillos for takeaway the next day, it was soo good! Both the gaspacho and salmorejo were great, beer was served in a chilled glass and their Rioja house vine is also nice and fruity for a hot day. We had lamp chops and flamenquin and also shared a plate of iberico ham and cheese. Great value for money.

The La Bartola rural guest house is located next to the Ategua archaeological site, 15 km from Córdoba. All of the air-conditioned rooms have flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.

The guest house has free onsite parking, and easy access to the N-432 road. There is also a children’s play area.

Staff were superb. Room and facilities in general were very well.

    The room was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. I slept very well. The restaurant was very nice. I had a piece of swordfish in a prawn and garlic sauce that was very tasty. It is a nice place to stay if you are on a long journey and need somewhere comfortable and cost-effective to stop for the night.
