The apartment is more spacious than it appears on the photos. It has been thoughtfully & lovingly planned & decorated. All furnishings and utensils are of a high standard. The kitchen has massive workspaces and everything you could need, you'll even find a carrot juicer! Otherwise please just ask, I always like to improve wherever possible. Hand painted art & hand stitched textiles adorn the living & bedrooms. The bathroom has been painstakingly finished off with glass beads & mirrors it also features a free standing, natural stone sink. The spacious shower has a built in seat and fixed overhead or "telephone" showerheads. The bedroom is situated towards the rear of the building which makes it very quiet & very private. The bed is massive (180 x 200) and really comfortable. Up the stairs is the enormous roof terrace and the laundry room. The seating area affords great views right down the valley to the sea. There are sunloungers & cushions on the terrace. If you prefer shade we have taken to the low tech version of pegging a sheet over the washing lines, it's safer as high winds appear suddenly. Parasols and beachtowels are provided for you to take to the beach.
Hello there, after a lot of years travelling & living abroad I ended up back in rainy England & realised that I could live anywhere in the whole wide world. So I looked at the map & zoomed in on the Canary Islands. I thought; geographically Africa, politically Europe, culturally Latin America yeah great! I worked in a hotel & saved up. So I got on a plane to South Tenerife in October 2000 with 500 quid, a guitar & a rucksack. Through a series of circumstances (I'll tell you when I see you) I ended up getting off a bus by the beach in Valle Gran Rey and just thought, Yeah, this is the place! Within a couple of weeks I had a few very casual part time jobs and was in a rock n roll band! Good times were had. In 2005 I had the opportunity to aquire this delapidated old building in La Calera, it was in a really bad state. Blood, sweat and tears (of joy & pain) were shed and the final outcome is my beautiful home plus a gorgeous rental apartment. They say that La Gomera is the Magical Island and I have to say that I have felt embraced by it. I hope to have the privilege of living here for many more years to come.
