My friends and I loved the very central location of the Hotel Covadonga. We spent the nights of July 3rd and 4th there and enjoyed the very special little town of Ribadesella. Cristina, on the front desk, was very helpful in suggesting other places to visit when she realized the Picos de Europa would be too mist covered to enjoy the views. She also suggested a really great place almost next door where we had a lovely breakfast both mornings. Cristina was also helpful in making local dinner suggestions. The hotel itself is old and quirky but super clean, with all the modern conveniences ( but no lift) There were three of us, which sometimes means you get a room with an extra folding bed set up in the corner. But this was a large room , actually two rooms, with a glassed in balcony out to the back street. I would most definitely recommend the Covadonga, and in fact I plan on going back to see the Picos. I will most certainly stay there again.
