Within minutes walk of Capileira village, yet situated in the environs of the Parque Nacional of the Sierra Nevada, the property is an ideal spot to explore the beautiful Alpujarras. A wonderful starting point to undertake wild woodland walks or mountain trails, take in the breathtaking views that the valley has to offer. The village of Capileira enjoys a vibrant all round scene with a mix of cultural and leisure activities, aimed chiefly at walkers, hikers and mountain climbers. For those seeking a slower paced holiday, browse the artisan and speciality shops, soak up the atmosphere at any of the varied restaurants and traditional tapas bars. Feel free to relax with a book on your very own terrace, or by the pool in season. Park up the car at the house and wander up and down to the village at your leisure, whether it be to the bakery for breakfast breads, to the weekly market or to catch the fresh fish van on its rounds. A well-equipped kitchen is at your disposal, in which you can slow-cook a feast for your fellow travellers, enjoy your meal on the terrace and watch the sun go down over the valley. The host lives on site in own separate quarters. Guests have full privacy to own patio, parking and living space and do not share with the host. I endeavour to allow guests have as much privacy as possible with the pool, when open in season. The pool and grounds are cleaned and maintained daily, as is necessary for hygiene, health and safety purposes.

A vibrant all year round cultural and hiking scene in Capileira; beautifully situated in the Poqueira Gorge, at the pinnacle of the villages of Pampaneira, Bubión and Capileira. A good selection of artisan shops, restaurants, weekly market and local shops. Excellent walks and sightseeing trails in both the Poqueira gorge and in the equally stunning surroundings of the neighbouring La Taha valley. The municipal town of Orgiva is a 20 minute drive away, home to a bustling alternative 'hippie' culture, whose artisan produce can be enjoyed on Thursday market day. In less than an hour, guests can swap the mountains of the parque nacional for the beaches of Salobreña. Take a full day at the beach, enjoying lunch at any of the beachside chiringuitos.
