This was the most amazing experience of the lifetime. The staff were great and food was excellent. But this place is not about the food or the amenities, it’s about the experience.

From the rooftop terrace there is a lovely view of the narrow streets and the nearby Church. I found the church bells to be charming but they could bother highly sensitive ears I imagine. The apartment itself is immaculate with a comfortable bed, a great workspace and a lounge. Do bear in mind there are no facilities for food preparation- but there are several excellent and reasonable options for meals, coffee and drinks nearby. The proprietor communicated very well and went out of his way to accommodate my working requirements. Truly an extraordinary stay.

Santuario De Bellmunt is set in Sant Pere de Torelló, 27 km from Vic Cathedral and 26 km from Vigatà Cinema. I don't think you can find a better location. This gem sits on top of the mountain which gives you full 360 views of the surrounding valleys. There are plenty of hiking trails to choose from directly from the lodge. The hosts are lovely, the food was divine (surprisingly so given the location) and the service was impeccable. The rooms were tidy and well-equipped. We were sad to leave!
