This was a small apartment in a block. The main kitchen/living room looked out over the Riazor bay and across to the Torre de Hercules lighthouse. The apartment was very comfortable for two people - anymore than two adults would be a bit crowded. Fran was a very welcoming host and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble and that we could ask him for anything. Our dog was also warmly welcomed (except not on Galicias beaches May to September!). It was about 20 minutes walk into the central area of A Coruña.

We stayed here during a major wind and rain storm. The waves outside our window were amazing. Even though the hotel is on the inlet and not directly on the Atlantic Ocean, the view of the water was stunning. The room was large and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very accommodating, especially in the midst of the storm. There were several restaurants just 2km away in a picturesque little fishing village. Galicia Spain is a seldom visited secret and the Isla de la Toja is magical.

Beautiful location, we could see the sunsets from our room. The food wasn't bad at all (slightly unusual for a Paradour hotel) . It's on a headland overlooking the Atlantic and just a short stroll to the town centre. We really liked this part of Spain (Galicia); no high rise developments, fairly affluent area. The service in this hotel was excellent. One of Columbus' ships, La Pinta, sailed back here after it's voyage. There's a replica ship you can go around in the harbour.

Smart, traditional hotel - think 4 star without pool or fitness.Very near start of the camino though a slight walk to bars and cafes in city. Alternatively eat in for a Galician style meal. It is very near the district of Canido, take a look at the street art- great fun. The free car park is small but the spaces do turn over if you wait a little in the day time. Staff speak adequate English, which is not always true in this part of Spain. I would be happy to stay again.

Ideal location for Santiago old town. Walking distance to all bars, restaurants, shops and sights. The entrance to the hotel is on a narrow street and the reception on the third floor (lift available). Once in the hotel it is a lot bigger than first impressions. Boutique is a good description. Breakfast was good value but limited choice. Parked motorcycle in nearby pay car park,(Praza de Galicia), about 13 Euros per day, which was undercover and 1 minutes walk away.

We couldn't have made a better choice than staying at Hotel Marea and choosing a sea view room - waking up to the sounds of the waves and going for walks on the beautiful sea-side path were highlights of our travels around Galicia. Hotel was extremely clean, and little details like coffee and snacks in the room made a difference. Comfortable beds, kind staff, and an amazing local restaurant right below the hotel. We can't wait to come back!

Great shower, comfortable bed, good TV (bonus point for having French channels). Interior-facing room (room 404) very quiet. Very friendly receptionists. Two minutes from the edge of the old town. Quite handy walk (12 minutes or so) to the train and bus stations (build a tramway please, Santiago!). The hotel is located literally just a few seconds from where the airport bus stops in Praza de Galicia (time for an airport train service, Santiago!)

I'm already plotting how I can come back to this gem of a country hotel in an old stone and timber schoolhouse. Just 11 rooms, all very comfortable and well-priced. Each room gets a couple of graphic novels or cartoons in Spanish. The breakfast was slightly different each morning. And the location is ideal for visiting beaches and lighthouses in and around Ortigueira in Galicia. We all wanted to stay longer. Car absolutely necessary.

The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood but just a short walk to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, museums, and other tourist sites. The outdoor space is great, and the apartment is spotless and comfortable. Great, friendly hosts. Great location for people who are looking to truly appreciate Galician culture in a largely Galician-speaking neighborhood, and not just have the cliché tourist/pilgrim experience offered by many places.

I felt very welcome by Julio and Jhuly from the moment I step into their beautiful place. I felt like at home. They personally cooked and served breakfast for me the next morning and dedicated time to have a conversation, answer all my questions about the area and gave very nice recommendations about what to do in Galicia. Looking forward to seeing my “new family” in Spain when I get back to walk the Camino de Santiago next year.

Seems a newly renovated hotel, all things in the room are quite new and clean. The restaurant on the ground floor provides delicious Galicia food, a good value for money. The staff was super nice and friendly. Unfortunately the day when we were there was so hot that we can not go anywhere...Sleep in night was impossible due to the hot weather. Although the hotel provided a small fan, but it did not help much ;-(

We very much liked this hotel. Our room was big and they provided us a quite room on an upper floor, as per our wish. Super nice receptionists and. I particularly liked the X-Mas decoration, natural material decently placed. We could easily walk to the historic city center (cathedral and the tapas bars etc.). Also a very good starting point to explore Galicia from here. Breakfast was great and varied.

This place is the best. The facilities are of course clean, comfortable, and in a great location, but Sonia makes it feel like a home. She offers an amazing tour which really enlightens guests into the Galician spirit. The hostel is full of QR codes with facts and stories that make you feel like part of the family. Truly a great place to stay for a few days so you can enjoy Galician life!

This was one of the biggest surprises during our tour through Spain and Portugal. At the worlds end, you were welcomed with one of the most modern appartments. Brand new renovated and equipped with all possible amenities. Small and familiar. The beds were just great, the breakfast good. The area in the neigbourhood is lovely - deepest Galicia. We can only recommend this facility.

We loved the room: beautiful modern design, very clean, large, comfortable, bright and quiet - the best hotel during our Galicia road trip. The staff was very friendly and professional. To make up for having to wait for a very long time for our turn at the check-in desk, the receptionist upgraded our room - a professional way of turning unhappy customers into happy customers.

This is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing time in the Galician countryside. The hotel is right on the Camino Primitivo and a short taxi ride from the Camino Frances. The hosts are warm and friendly and attend to all your needs. We felt more like we were visiting friends than staying at a casa rural. I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Both Marta and Cristina at the front desk are an invaluable asset to Blue Coruna Their welcome, friendliness and , especially, their assistance, not just with our stay in A Coruna but on our further travels in Galicia was exceptional. Often it is the people who make the hotel and they certainly make Blue Coruna a place we would happily return to.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location just off the Portuguese Camino de Santiago. Hotel has both a bar and cafeteria, and outdoor patios on both sides of the hotel that are popular with locals and tourists. Very good value. In the cafeteria I ordered the local soup, Galician broth. It was delicious and they served an full tureen!

Santi is an exceptional host. He greeted us warmly with a tour of his family's farm, providing us with insights into historical and current Galician farming practices. The restoration of the apartment is impeccably tasteful. Muchas gracias, Santi, for providing us with wonderful memories of our last evening on the Camino Portugués.

Bahia de Vigo is excellently located for the port area. The accommodation on the front of the building has incredible views of the Ria de Vigo and ports and countryside of the Morazzo peninsula on the other side. Staff were incredible - very typical of warm and friendly Galicians. Well done! Keep up the good work! Estupendo todo!
