Stayed just for one night on our way to the ferry. The slightly stressed but friendly guy at the reception was very helpful. We could pack a bag for breakfast as we had to leave well before dawn. Rooms were spacious and clean, beds comfy. Very reasonably priced. Greatly recommended!

Anne the owner was very easy going and generous with helping us store our bikes/gear up until leaving for our ferry. Overall a very convenient experience. Located on North Vancouver Island, Kwa'lilas Hotel is less than 10 minutes' walk from the waterfront and Port Hardy city centre. It offers on-site dining and provides free WiFi in every room. Breakfast was good. We were in a few hotels on this trip so I may have the wrong breakfast, the bread for toast was still in the bag. This made everyone who wanted some to touch/reach into the bag. Not great in these Covid times.

Situated in Coal Harbour, 22 km from Port Hardy Ferry Terminal, The Oceanfront Inn on Stephens Bay features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and water sports facilities. The location, the views, the rooms are beautiful, food excellent and Michelle treats people like a house guest. We were genuinely sorry to be leaving.

Situated in Port McNeill, 44 km from Port Hardy Ferry Terminal, Humpback Inn features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The motel has family rooms. Super clean and comfy rooms. Love that there's no carpet, instead wooden flooring. Everything's in walkable distance and easy access to the harbour. Would definitely pick this one again!
