While I didn't see the owner, her communication was excellent. She was quick to respond to my queries and was very helpful. Everything you could want was provided - including tea, coffee, fruit, towels etc etc. Very generous. Perfect location for starting the Camino Invierno, while still very close to Templars Castle, Info Centre and the old city section.

Hostal Nirvana is located in Ponferrada’s city centre, within 5 minutes' walk of the Bus Station, Lazurtegui Square and Espanya Avenue. Templarios Castle and the Old Town are 15 minutes' walk away.

The breakfast was great and a very good value. It’s close to the Camino. The manager was very kind and didn’t hesitate to find me a new room when there was a problem with the first one. Very professional!

The staff is very nice and tries to help in any way. Their English is limited, but hey we are in Spain, so we should put all effort in speaking Spanish. Also, across the street is a laundry service!
